the way i interpret this song is that its a sarcastic song in the way of he's saying he's ok about the situation when he's actually not but he's putting on a face to them showing that he is and i can really relate to this. in other words he'll keep taking all the crap and still wont show it. it's almost like he's saying that he wont give them the satisfaction in them knowing it all gets to him. i might be wrong but thats how i interpret it.

This is a quality version of this song, one of his best songs! Seen Stereophonics Live at Rock am Park festival in Germany andd they were awesome! 2nd best to Metallica. Go on Kelly, cool as fuck, proper rock'n'roller unlike rubbish bands like the killers that have toss lyrics. The phonics are amazing

I doubt it's Javier singing the backing vocals, look at 3.45, you can see him and I can't see him close to the mic singing. It might be a backing song playing, or the lyrics recorded on the keyboards I guess

well i think he's feeling the loss of someone he loved and this is the general feeling of hopelessness and dispair that follows. and pretending he's alright so he doesn't show any weakness/let whoever in. and that he will sarcifice things because he cares but the things that he gives to them aren't what matters so now all he can give is "wearing a smile" etcc. so he's alright, but nothing more. but who knows? he could mean anything
