  • Very nice.

  • What editor did you use to do the effect with the bars going up and down?

  • @CrutoniaFilms Adobe Premiere Pro. Just keyframed the motion of black video overtop of the film.

  • This video inspired me to play oblivion again. I should show you and heather when you come by to get your glasses what the new cities mod looks like. It's pretty fantastic.

  • i wish i lived in Oblivion, it just seems so peaceful even though the fate of the whole world is at stake.

  • Beautiful! Like a haiku of a film. Capturing moments of life.

(Maybe life was the wrong word choice, I guess I meant "capturing moments of Video Games")

  • That was FANTASTIC!!!

  • Great video. I like how the voices are integrated into the soundtrack. Oblivion has much to offer for video composition, and I enjoyed your take.

  • nice movie =]

  • Great...just fantastic...:)

  • You, sir, have a great taste in music. My friend used this in her choreography at college.

  • Awesome, I'm glad you like my vids (and music choices)! I'm working on video I shot in India right now and I'm stumped for music. I want it to be Indian but original and funky, which is a tough case.

  • nice vid, good music-choice :)

  • Wow... the music is beautiful, and fits the scenery so nicely. Love the editing work you did on this. If this were a trailer for Oblivion, it would have been the best one I'd have ever seen for any video game. Excellent work! :)

  • Doesn't it make you mad that Roger Ebert said that video games aren't art?

  • Re: Roger Ebert, "video games aren't art."

No, Ebert makes a really good point. While video games visuals are getting very nice, they have mostly lacked meaningful stories and themes and how it is told with the visuals. He also made it clear that, as games mature, they will ultimately enter the art arena with film. So far, I believe only Bioshock has entered the arena, but that's very subjective :)

  • I realized after writing this that something is missing. Of course, video games are art; hell, every texture and model is art. Ebert was saying they're not at the artistic maturity of film.

  • I think we need to expect a different kind of artistry from games. If you want to tell a story, then books and films are probably the best way to do it. If you want to demonstrate or experiment with "play", interactivity, and ludic forms, then games can be artistic in that way.

    Great video. Keep it up!

  • RE: Lack thereof0, "video games Are art."

That's What I was thinking. While it may not be "Film" Art It's more like traditional Art. each Texture Artist is A Painter, each Modeler is a Sculpter And in My Eyes Each Game Is A Moving Work Of art. :)

  • @lackthereof0 Agree 100% with bioshock.

  • I say video games are not art, but neither is a paintbrush and a canvas, it all depends on what you do with them, to make them art. These videos, are art.

  • not bad m8, not bad at all :)

    keep up the good work

    Lutty

  • The bit with the guy standing there is great :), these vids are so tempting, but I got to wait 3 weeks for my ps3 (I'll get oblivion with it)

  • Beautiful as always. You really do have style.
