This strikes me with so many grieving emotions. Fear, anger, depression, confusion... the apathy and the selfishness of humans will never stop surprising me, will it? There is one good thing I take from this... I refuse to be one of those people who give into that selfish apathy, and turn a blind eye to modern events like this because they are too hard to handle or I am unable to comprehend the reality of the suffering there is.

The person was definitely a boy barely in his teens and apparently not Japanese...However, we have no idea from the description how the fighting at that location was like...from talking w/WW2 vets after a while it got to where one just tore the place up...there was no other choice to make.
