hello i am a 13 year old angler and dont have much knowledge of the sport so i am trying to learn by using videos and this has helped me so much :) thanks
plumbing with a pole is easy but with a waggler u cant shot the float fully. you cant lift a rod to feel how far overdepth u are so if you have the float shot perfectly you cant tell if ur overdepth so undershot ur float so it lies on the top then if it stiks out 2 inches u know ur 2 inch over ect
Why tare this guy to shreds? He's just showing the basics. If kids watch these videos there's a good chance they can catch a few fish. The intro to the vid does say for BEGINNERS. There's loads of youngsters that give the sport a go and because they don't get the right guidance they get board and give up, these clips are brilliant for them.
What about if your using a rising float technique? Surely plumbing the hooklength would give an in-accurate result if you wanted to put all the shot at the end of the hooklength for fishing tench for example? How would i do this? Shot up and then plumb firsT?
@frenchielcfc Since when?......rigs are already set up at the waterside normaly an you just plumb up..unless its a paste rig and that dont have shot on it?
@frenchielcfc That doesn't really matter, if you are too shallow the float will sink, if not you can feel the tension when you lift the rod/pole so know how far off the bottom you are.
@WILLUK26 the point i am trying to make is that you are handing out advice that is bad advice this video is about plumbing on the pole not the waggler even so the advice you gave on plumbing with a waggler is also bad advice i paid 300 pound last year for a days coaching from kieron rich on the waggler he told me to NEVER plumb up until you have correctly shotted your float you are trying to justify your bad practices and disagreeing with ALL the top names in the sport
@WILLUK26 type these words into the youtube search bar WILL RAISON WAGGLER FISHING TIPS AT GOLD then get back to me and apologise for being full of shit either that or to tell me your better than will raison
@WILLUK26 and i suppose then that you think you know better than bob nudd/steve ringer/andy findlay and every other top match fisherman who make and correctly shot their rigs at home you are talking absolute fucking crap club champion my arse they probably gave you a trophy for being the biggest bullshitter in the club
i sit here wondering if you know what your talking about i have come to the conclusion you dont. PINCHING THE SHOT ONTO YOUR LINE CAN DAMAGE IT THAT IS WHY THE LENGTH OF LINE YOU HAVE PINCHED THE SHOT ONTO SHOULD BE REMOVED ALTERING THE DEPTH DOES NOT ENTAIL PINCHING SHOT ONTO THE LINE JUST MOVING IT stoptrying to be a smart arse you are making a fool of yourself
erm your very wrong when your pinching your shot on your line it can damage the line and often does so you pinch your shot onto a small length at the tag end of your line when your float is shotted properly only then do you move your float and shot up the line and remove the short length of line that you have pinched your shot onto thus removing any damged section of the line

You are so correct, if you need to shot to stop the float moving, just use no1.s or shot that wont cock it, very good tip

I have the same pole, thx alot rly helps.
Was just wondering what line should i use for the pole if im an amature angler and will be fishing in my local lake.
yoip23 2 years ago
depends on what kinds you fish..
personly i use wire of 1.2 kilograms (2.5 lbs)
its about 0.12 mm and good for bream , roach and other not to strong fish.
