Its a nice listen but I can not take the lyrics serious with this version. The original takes you to another level. This version will only benefit those who can not grasp what the amazing Sylvian experience is all about. Well done anyway Modesto...

Snow Borne Sorrow as well? Interesting, while I agree that it's rather experimental, I found it to be accessible music. Especially when you compare it to Manafon and Blemish.

Sorry, i forgot about Snow Borne Sorrow and meant Blemish & Manafon (although i never really got into SBS either) the last album i adored was Dead Bees on a Cake. It's a shame as Sylvian is my all time musical hero.

thanks for your comments Koriza. I agree, it's far more accessable. My life is so busy at the moment I don't have time to play Sylvian's CDs enough to really give them time and get into them like I used to.

Nevertheless, I like the original version better :) There's a sense is quietness in there that I like.

I actually started really liking the Manafon album. I started out finding it strange and disappointing.. But I kept it on, because something in it got my attention somehow. I realized my expectations weren't met. I just got something different. Something very interesting. Strangely attractive, too.

That's a great work, indeed, but I like more the original version , because David wanted to achieve ( and he did it ) a new form of song, a new way of expression, without distractions...his voice is the main and principal thing...don't even try to touch the perfection of a 'naked' song...less is more...I'm ordering the Deluxe Edition of Manafon...I can't wait! Thanks David!

Modesto, this is an utterly breathtaking re-working of the 1st track from Manafon. It has only been 10 - days since the "teaser" release.... and without any hesitation this is the most engrossing, complete and utterly compelling remix you have come up with so far..... But, where you reworked songs from 25+ yrs ago in the past, I feel a bit shocked listening (and replaying) this remix on a number that is not yet officially released....

Power of the Web, I guess.
