  • nothing about assigning functions to channels? i just hate having to read the manual all over again just to see how to assign each aileron on separate channels (one servo each...)

  • it is really amazing.

    buuut

with all our touch screens and voice activated, its not hard to see this will seem so obsolete in the near future. what i dont like very well is how rapidly 2.4 is taking over. i like the fm/ppm/pcm better. i hope we will still manufacture frequency modulate.

  • i just won one of these in an auction! in only paid 59.60 for it!

    ha this thing is cool

  • @mrfourtysevenman .... Dam thats a great price, u lucky bugger....

  • @robinphillips

thanks. i may be only 15 but i can find a great deal. its for my dad. he got me into the hobby and i want to pay him back. im either getting him his own airplane or i will give him my avistar because i have my u can do 46. but i want to get him his own plane because my avistar is fun to fly as well.

  • @mrfourtysevenman ... Is good of you to get him a thank you gift, im sure he`ll appreciate whatever you decide to give him, i know i would..

  • @robinphillips well you cant have it. you need to look on ebay for a few hours

  • Yes you can, it works both ways, just change the settings as needed in the menu screen....

  • I have bought the Futaba 7CAP airplane radio, can i also use this to fly helicopters? Thanks.

  • hello,I just bought this amazing remote system and people told me that I need to adjust the fail safe.does someone know how to adjust it?

    thank you

  • I`ve never heard of the failsafe, i`d just follow the manual normally ;-)

  • Hi, what is the difference between pcm and ppm?, Thanks

  • I have no idea, honestly, i think one is supposed to be better than the other in therms of less interfererence, i think, but i forget which one.

  • The pcm have less interfearence on it . and its the main difference, ppm is also known as FM mode.

  • Thanks for the info, i always get them mixed up... One type uses a big plastic module instead of a little chrystal in the transmitter i think also.

  • whare is the timer for?

  • Timing stuff i guess, battery life - flight times etc etc ;-)

  • Excellent, well done and well edited video!!. the score is soothing and appropiate ..... not as bad or tidious as 98% of all youtube vids.

    5 Star

  • Thanks for the compliment ;-) the orig video was made by rcuniverse, i just added music and edited it a bit so it was thighter. Took me weeks to find such a useful vid so i thought it should be shared ;-)

  • lol, honestly i dont remember, was done along time ago, and i did'nt film the origional so i dont know if it was done on tape or digi........sorry mate.

  • Hi what format did you use to up load this vid, as you cant see my radio as clear as this ?

  • Very nice vid, thanks. :)

Those were just the basics though, that eaven I (I'm a starting RC heli pilot, flown co-axials but about to buy my first 'real' rc-heli) could figure out.

What would be really great if you could make a similar type of video about setting up the heli, especially the advanced mode settings.

And of course a glimpse of all the setup needed to do for flying a 6ch CCPM heli.

    Keep up the good work

  • hello , I have the 7cap and I have wnet through all of the functions here described and I cant get this thing to function a simple 4ch model. all i have is rudder. can you go into detail for me. I have 7-berg reciever.

  • robinphillips . . what Poly Lipo battery replacement could I use for this Futaba radio

does the mah matter? whats the volt & mah limit? thanks!!

  • You'd better search that on RCUniverse, i dont want to give incorrect advice as it could cost you alot if im wrong....... i used to know this but it's been a while soooooooooooo, check rcuniverse forum, you'll find it easy there, sorry i couldnt be more help ;-)

  • i am going to get a used futaba 7cap to fly a .30 size caliber radio and wonder if this is the way to go i have a 6exa for airplane only that sucks. so im gonna have to dish out 115 for a used one.

  • crazyryan.............yes, i would prefer to use the 7, but that depends on your budgeting ;-)

  • To reset the system timer press the down cursor key from the main screen. Then when that is blinking press the dial until it resets. Many modelers use this timer to keep track of how long the radio has been on since last charge.
