When my only son was 23 months, I saw him on an open window. I was afraid as never. I called him, I said "don't move", all my body trembled. I came to him slowly and he didn't fall. I was holding him in my hands and crying because my only child was alive. I can imagine what you felt. You lost your sweet baby. And then you had 2 anothers sweets babies. Live is strange. Mine didn't fall but I never could be pregnant after him...
It is good to see your pain turned into something poisitive and that others may learn from it. I hope that you do not continue to beat yourself up. I know mommy-guilt is the hardest thing but it was an accident. A very unfortunate one but anyone can see how much you loved him.

There are so many things as a parent we over look. I know first hand .... My first child passed away due to our 27 inch tv falling on her. I like you have so many what if thoughts that go through my head daily. My little girl was 10 months old and its been almost 6 years. I truly feel your pain. When my man was a child he stepped backwards and fell back through a low to the ground window, where he got a cut in his leg and stitches but he was lucky he was ok in the end.

Does anyone know of any that won't damage the window frame that are available in the UK? I had left my two year old alone for two minutes in his bedroom, when i went in he was standing on his window cill with the window open. I was lucky, he is now 12. The window was immediately fitted with a lock, it only takes a minute, this gorgeous little boy will always be with you x x x x x x

@bignasxl Let me guess, you have no children nor ever been in charge of someone else s for a hour. Children are on the go 24/7 & you cannot look directly at them the entire time. & as for baby proofing, my 2 year old has removed every single item we added like door & plug safety. My window has a lock for every notch. I leave it it low so she won't fall out but she can still remove the locks when she catches me not looking. Children & animals are completely unpredictable.
@jstalilred i have 4 children and im a single father..They are between 1 year and 15 years old. babyproofing only protects you for a while but we as parents hvae to fully look at every possible danger in the house and protect our children from them..its not something that can be learned in a day....it takes years

I came upon this by accident, I actually watched it. I am a grown man 32 years old, have three beautiful children, and I cried when I watched this. I my self when I was very very little fell out of a 3 story window, and they didn't have rubber made trash cans back then, they were metal, but I landed on one and it saved my life I believe. I cant imagine what you went through, but god is with him now.

wow, I'm so sorry about your loss, my son passed away this month from a childhood accident as well at 20 months old. Wasn't with the windows but I never thought of that. I will remember that if I ever have children in the future.

Such a beautiful boy in this video. It is a tragedy to loose a child, wish it was not possible to loose a child. Because it is sad a child is gone and it is not a nice thing to know those who love the child grieve a lifetime over the loss of there child.
When my man was a child he stepped backwards and fell back through a low to the ground window, where he got a cut in his leg and stitches but he was lucky he was ok in the end.

I know someone who's child pulled out a bottom drawer to climb onto to get up higher to reach something. The furniture fell on top of that 2 year old and crushed his wind pipe and he did not live Nothing is as heart breaking as losing a child. May God be with you.

I've just caught my son sitting on his window sill (luckily with the window shut) he's 22 months and went to look for catches. Does anyone know of any that won't damage the window frame that are available in the UK? Defiantly going to get some just be a bonus if I don't have to damage the frame in the process, but I know is a small price to pay.

My son's name is James as well and he will be 3 years in Sept. We live in a 2nd story apartment and windows have also been a issue for us. Your son is a BEAUTIFUL gift from god. I too wish i could reach out and hug you. awe what an angel thank you for sharing your story I hope that people will listen to prevent these unessesary deaths, I got chills because that almost happened to my kids,toddler bed in front of a window in a 2 story house,had the window open to smell the rain, thank god our screens were secure or that could have been me. From every picture the happy eyes of a beautiful little boy show how much James knew he was loved. May you feel that same love and comfort from Jesus; and keep in mind that you will see James again.

I'm so sorry for your loss and in an emotion like this I dont know what to say...I feel the pain so much ...my baby died inside my womb just a week before his due date...it happened in a sudden...and till now I still keep crying about it especially at night...but I'm hoping that this pain will turn into joy...hoping to have another one in the right time...someone that I could call my son or a daughter when I get old :)

sorry for your loss i lost my baby girl at 4 and a half mo. old and now i have my boy that born b4 her and 3 younger boys and believe it hard and really there is not a thing i can say to make things better other hes in a better place.someone told me to look at the stars at night and the brightest flashing star was josalynn saying hi.also i blamed myself for falling asleep and not staying awake while she slept that night now she passed from sids and shed be 6 november and it still hurts

please, please take notice from the loss of tis beautiful little boy. I had left my two year old alone for two minutes in his bedroom, when i went in he was standing on his window cill with the window open. I was lucky, he is now 12. The window was immediately fitted with a lock, it only takes a minute, this gorgeous little boy will always be with you x x x x x x

@bignasxl Let me guess, you have no children nor ever been in charge of someone else s for a hour. Children are on the go 24/7 & you cannot look directly at them the entire time. & as for baby proofing, my 2 year old has removed every single item we added like door & plug safety. My window has a lock for every notch. I leave it it low so she won't fall out but she can still remove the locks when she catches me not looking. Children & animals are completely unpredictable.

@jstalilred i have 4 children and im a single father..They are between 1 year and 15 years old. babyproofing only protects you for a while but we as parents hvae to fully look at every possible danger in the house and protect our children from them..its not something that can be learned in a day....it takes years

I came upon this by accident, I actually watched it. I am a grown man 32 years old, have three beautiful children, and I cried when I watched this. I my self when I was very very little fell out of a 3 story window, and they didn't have rubber made trash cans back then, they were metal, but I landed on one and it saved my life I believe. I cant imagine what you went through, but god is with him now.
