  • One of the best demonstrations of live axles and leaf springs. Bouncy bouncy. Why did they think a van is cool. It's just not and it looks so silly. And, come on cops are stupid, but not that stupid. Oh, and the corny cb radio babbeling.

  • so this is the 70's version of 'the fast and the furious'....interesting!?!

  • OK, sorry, but this just looks really dumb.

  • i hate to see a 69 chevelle get blown up for some cheap cheesey movie.

  • Did Supervan also grow it's own Ganja???

  • Wow. This has to be the worst film ever made in America -but still better than the best one ever made in France.

  • Nothing like the precision handiling of a van

  • Coming to DVD w/ Jailbait Babysitter March 8 :)

  • Weird van , its the one Chop Cut Rebuild , rebuilt. Turned out great.

  • My god is that awful...a laser?I do love how the cop cars just say "POLICE".It should say "POLICE!".That Vandora sounds like Greg Brady's "UFO".America rules.

  • @Shaggyshadric Naw, man, it runs on pure Funk!

  • @Shaggyshadric Ya, so it's Kryptonite is a cloudy day.

  • @Adom Put a roach in the ashtray and it can keep running.

  • I remember when this movie came out. All of us vanners caravanned to the drive-in to watch it. As far as van movies go this one had to be the worst. The Truck-In scenes were shot at Vans Am's Truck-In in Kansas City area.

  • Was the Vandora not turned into a Hot Wheels vehicle first? Anyway, a note to you police officials that are out there, never, under ANY circumstances are you to chase this vehicle or the Slicer (the liltte wedge shaped car in one of those H.B. Halicki films).

  • I could be wrong, but doesn't Scott work at the Tasty Freeze on hwy 164? It was either there or washing dishes at Denny's...I can't remember.

  • Scott Hamil-"Hmm...I'm going to follow up STAR WARS with starring in Super Van....yeah, that will kick my career in high gear"!

  • LOL

Didn't he do Corvette Summer straight after Star Wars? Though I totally agree with what you've said.

  • @justentime77 This comment might actually be funny if you had got his name right, and if he had actually been in this move.

  • @smerd70 True....and your reply might have actually been somewhat clever if you knew how to spell "Movie".

  • Does "fun to watch" mean "stupid waste of film"?

  • The Supervan is a kit they make that goes on a VW bug chassis.

    They are pretty damn wicked.

  • pure cockamamie...

  • The sound effects in this film for the supervan are hilarious!

  • LOL The CB chit chat is funny. Ahh the good ol days!

  • they are not all fords. the yellow one and the brown one are dodges. i still love all the vans!!!

  • Smokey and the Bandit meets UPS.

    LOAD OF SHITE!

  • where were all the van murals? thor, unicorn, pixy, moon queen and of course WIZZARD!!!

  • you mean the supervan, it was designed by George Barris (if I recall), he did the original batmobile

a bit of trivia, they restored that van a few years ago

  • It's actually on display just a bit up north from me, I've seen it.

  • Think Barris also had a small cameo in the movie too, along with Shirley and his kids

  • Man...this has got to be THE quintessential example of '70s pop culture gone bad. LOL...

  • What song is that during the chase?

  • Nice clip, extremely deep 70s, truly a golden age of hare-brained fun!

  • Thanks for posting this...I've been looking for a copy of this film on DVD for a while.
