George, you're destroying your credibility by making excuses for your colleagues. If you're going to blame item 1 on Republican "obstructionism," then let said obstructionism play out for all to see. Secondly, cutting off funding would simply bring the army home sooner; hey're hardly going to be allowed to stay until they "run out of bullets." Again, if the Thugs are going to filibuster, let them filibuster for crying out loud.
