MANNER of death was homicide. That was ascertained by Caylee's death never being reported and the way she was disposed of.
Woman gets stabbed 24 times, and raped, left for dead. Guy draws a smiley face on her back leaving her for dead. She survives. While in the hospital a guy is seen on his hands and knees praying at her door step. Being able to give a sketch, he matches it. They bring him in for questioning. He oddly asks for a job app. They give him one, and at the end of the app, he draws a **smiley face**, which was NEVER released to the press.
He just so happened to been visiting that trailer park, (he lives 100 miles away) that same day.
They bring in the woman and her son that pretended to sleep, yet was able to get a look at him. They positively identify him as the guy.
So you have location, smiley face on the job app, positive identification, and odd behavior having prayed at her house... Guilty? Public thought so, these are circumstances, that point to guilt.. yet proved that he wasn't the guy.
@fmnma1 As for your smiley place scenario, I would simply assume that guy may be mildly retarded if he wanders randomly into a stranger's yard and prays at their doorstep. Is is less likely that the baby drown in the pool? Probably. But, what most people do not understand is that juries must the apply the statutes to the charges cited in the case based on evidence presented at trial not on what they saw or heard through media sources.

Again, what needs to be focused on here is that Caylee is dead and she didn't kill herself. Someone killed her and dumped her out in the woods with a bunch of items from the Anthony house. Casey's car smelled like death. Casey was aware of the smell and lied about it.

The hair, the chloroform searches (only 1 search not 84), the chloroform traces (found in household cleaning products) the phone calls (not under oath - nor calm - being in the right state of mind) There is no evidence that ties 'Casey' to this crime. You have to have proof that a crime has been committed. My opinions on 'what' happened, have nothing to do with a case in court!

2) The searches were made both times when Cindy was at work and during one of them George was also absent.
3) The history was interspersed with visits to myspace pages. Cindy didn't create a Myspace account until early July 2008.
4) Searches were made under the Casey account, password "Rico23" (Ricardo and probably his age)

@fmnma1 The hair found in the didn't come from a LIVE PERSON. It was consistent with that of a dead body. Science requires you to say "consistent with" when something is 99% possible. The expert during the trial testified that they had tried numerous times to replicate the death band on a live hair, using different environmental factors. The expert testified that he had NEVER seen a death band on a hair belonging to a live person and he couldn't name anyone who had.

When cells decompose, the DNA located in the nucleus of the cell deteriorates. Decompositional fluid destroys DNA, hence none of Caylee's skin cells were found on the tape either.
COD is not needed. All that needs to be proven is that Caylee is dead.
MANNER of death was homicide. That was ascertained by Caylee's death never being reported and the way she was disposed of.

They bring in the woman and her son that pretended to sleep, yet was able to get a look at him. They positively identify him as the guy.
