@phix95 I had the same problem too. If you are running Windows 7, here is a way you can get the game to work:

1) PRESS START MENU

2) IN THE SEARCH BOX TYPE " MSCONFIG " AMD PRESS ENTER (A NEW BOX WILL APPEAR CALLED SYSTEM CONFIGURATION)

3) CLICK ON THE " BOOT " TAB THEN ON "ADVANCE OPTIONS "

4)TICK IN THE BOX NEXT TO " NUMBER OF PROCESSES " AND USE THE DROP DOWN BOX TO SELECT 1 ONLY.

After, restart your computer and the game should work.

This method worked for me, but if you are running a different version of Windows, use Google to find some patches for the game that may help :)

@libinspace Hey thanks. Will this work for Windows Vista? I see the same options using your directions. And to change back to all processors do I just do the same thing and untick the box?

@phix95 I'm not sure if it will work with Vista, but there is no harm in trying! Yes, to get back all the processors just do the same things and uncheck the box :) If this doesn't work for the game, just search around on Google, there are quite a few patches that may help and may be some more advice for Vista.

My opinion is just the same as yours, I could do the first part three times per day and it won't get boring. Usually I use my iPhone for it. The second part is quite good and I also enjoy playing it on my phone but WTF part 3 and 4 are nothing... I did them with my friend on her MacBook and was completely disappointed. What about good old nico and George in 2D... No part will ever be as good as the first. Never.

Broken Sword 4 is actually pretty bad game, just finished and i had a lot of problems with controls its very innacurate,the game itself is very buggy i often got stuck in somewhere, the other complain are the puzzles they are definetly better than the ones from Slepping dragon whic were too easy, but in Angel of death they are pointless too hard even for me and im usually good at that stuff, and very frustrating they just dont make any sense,All in all the worst BS after the 3 part

hell... i´ve bought this game for 10 € and i have played it, because im such a big fan of bs1 and bs2 (bs 3 was still ok) but the fourth was rubbish... this has nothing to do with broken sword. it reminded me of largo winch (which is also "shit, pasted on a game-dvd") they should go back to basics of forget about creating a 5th episode of bs...

the problem is, that Revolution has gone from point 'n' click games to the 3D keyboard controlled games... in my opinion, i think that they should still develop point 'n' click games because that's why this game got so popular.

oh, monkey island is epic : ) but i have just played nr. 3 (and number 4, but...well... it was quite bad) on steam you can download monkey island 1 for just 10€. in this game you can choose (in game) between the old original stye and a new remake style^^ its quite good

I played Paradise.. It had a beautiful scenery! And yes, 2.5 is an unofficial release.. I don't think it has Rolf Saxon's voice, it doesn't even have english voices yet.

They say that they are gonna release the english dub version soon, but they keep saying it for more than half a year.

It does have english subs, but you can't really keep up with them

@daude111 Hi, Best adventure games, from the retro adventure period are: Monkey Island 1&2, Loom, Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, (The old Indiana Jones & Sam and Max Hit The Road games are prob good too). I also liked Lure of the Temptress. You can buy Loom, Monkey and Indiana games off of Steam for about £5. The others you can get from ebay cheap also ;p

Discworld, they are quite old but alot of fun with a good story written by terry pratchett, easy to find on Ebay. Broken Sword 2.5 is a really good game and safe to download from its official site! When I played it though, it was in German with English subtitles but still good to play, but I think they have released an English version- not sure if it's out yet though.

just my opnion i think the cartoon style graphics is much more exclusive for the title, it brings back nostalgic memories when the first one came out in 96' and this game got me interested on learning history and mythology.

Broken sword 4 was brought out due to extremely high demand and pressure, the series is brilliant, the wit of George is brilliant, the jokes have you ashamed to laugh. Unfortunately, let's be realistic, i know for the fans like myself you will cling on to whatever rumor you can for the sake of hope, however i doubt it will happen, as Revolution will probably want to expand their audience. Alas, twas nay t'be. :(

It would appear you are wrong, they are remaking the 1st one for wii/DS which will be out in march 2009, so the series is still very much alive.

2d is must more atmospheric, 3d adventure games in comparison are clinical and soulless. Revolution and Lucas Arts should go back to the 2d format and produce fantastic point-and-click adventure games like they used to, but with up to date stunningly atmospheric 2d graphics.
