Your training session is completely ass backwards from mine. Not saying it is wrong, but our training sessions are different. I don't know what it means either haha. But this was the last thing I had to go over a couple times. I'm now ready for my first real mission. I'm excited as hell. Ready to get out there with my hawgs and complete some missions.

Yes DCS definitely needs ah-64, f-16, f-15, f-14, f-18, etc etc etc. By the looks of it these guys can have the air combat sim genre on lockdown

I certainly hope that the next DCS is not a helicopter, don't get me wrong, I love them combat whirlybirds but they just don't fly as fast or as high as jets, plus I think the DCS engine works better with fixed wing, just my opinion. Any jet will be great, preferably the F-16 or F-15 but anything will do. :)

Graphics are lower in simulators so that the graphics run smooth at 30 miles range other games can have higher graphics becasue they only have to do 100m wide envirtoments at a time.

@Kristoph109 Ahem, A-10 CAS is available and on-station to your position within 20 minutes if you've pre-coordinated your ground mission with your ALOs correctly :P

Either it's available within that time or it won't be available at all, the latter you'd know beforehand before going outside the wire.

@AntDX316 There should be like in DCS Black Shark, I got sick of flicking 10,000 switches so you just press CTRL F10 and it does it all in like 10 seconds. But kinda takes away the fun.

@Kristoph109 but after you get shot down by shilka or an AA missles no matter how many flares you drop doing that automatic stuff is a better way to go

@MagnesiumAlloy Ironically, Military-Grade Simulators are all worse graphically. That's by design. They're mostly Procedure Trainers to build muscle memory, for one thing, for the trainees. Realism is reserved for, well, Reality - outside in the aircraft.

@slaneyboi It is out, in Beta at least. Doesn't matter, even with the bugs this still the best sim you can get without enlisting. It's awesome to get in early on something I was going to buy anyways.

It's JAS 39 Gripen or JA 37 Viggen

First letters mark aircraft role. Jakt (intercept), Attack (Bombing), Spaning (recon) with the first letter marking the primary role for the aircraft type. The 37 Viggen system comes in different configs where a JA 37 is a interceptor with secondary strike apabilities while a AJ 37 is a strike aircraft with secondary AA capabilities.

The following numbers and letters represent aicraft system i.e 35 Draken, 37 Viggen and 39 Gripen.

Beta is out and game is available for pre purchase at the DCS website. Upon purchase you get the beta then once full retail releases you can download full version.

This sim can't arrive fast enough. This is going to blow Black Shark away!! And that's an accomplishment!! Great tutorial! I do miss Wags voice though. It was calming. This new guy is nice and clear.

@toby23 Indeed. I had to create buttons to my HOTAS for enable/disable TIR to get it hold still at those extreme angles =/ would love to have it so smooth. Using Trackir4 btw.

@Grimmreaper74 Would never happen as falcon 4.0 was released years ago, and is to date one of the most realistic sims in the matter of all the controls. Insane amount of controls... DCS does things that others havent on that level.
