I donno, shouldn't ya learn yer own damn recorded solo before going on to show others how to play it? Kinda frustrates me to see these pro cats cant play what they recorded. Like Frampton, Zepplin, etc. They go on stage and jam out a bunch of solo stuff you not heard, yet your hearign it in your head, and it doesn't mesh. It kinda sucks. I can watch a cover band try to play your stuff, lets see you play it how I've heard it for years. Ya miss a note, I'll know it. Hell I can play it, cant you?

try these settings i think they are pretty close... :

Gain: 7-8 (or even towards 9 for some songs...)

Bass: ~7

Contour: ~4

Treble: ~7

you can of course fiddle around it a bit to get exactly what u want...

the sound further also depends on the pickups of the guitar so its difficult to get the tones with the exact feel, plus i do not think we can expect too much from a MG amp......

@rdbilly a week? More man. With dedication it comes, I mean, I still suck (though I could play this) but just to master this is more than a week if you're still a beginner. Play an hour a day with a metrenome, just going up and down scales (boring yes, but so fucking helpful) and then another hour on top doing ear-training, e.g. learning songs from a CD WITHOUT tabs. After this, reward yourself with any extra time freestyling, e.g. random licks and riffs. Just EXPLORE the board!

Lets solve this thing. Slash has got the structure and melody solos. Buckethead has got the speed and technique solos. Who you like is a personal preference. You cant really compare because they're the opposite playing.
