I m happy you are interested in making it:) well, i m using potato starch but i m sure you can just use ay starch, i think corn starch would work as well. the orange back is vanilla sugar, not sur if you can get it everywhere. it is just sugar with vanilla taste. if you cant find it, just put like less than a half teaspoon of vanilla extract, it should work as well:) I hope it will work out well!! Good luck and enjoy;)
@cephiro14 That should work, too :) but it might be little more difficult to get it out. Before you fill it, you should rinse it with very cold water once.
@cephiro14 I am not qutie sure what you mean. I guess you mean you want to butter the brulee mold first? I think that would be ok, but I think butter might change the taste of the pudding...and you want to cover it with butter? Of course that would be ok..but I think butter has a quite strong flavour, I am not sure if it goes well with Matcha...but if you try it, let me know how it was:)! Good luck!
I meant after I chill the mold like placing it in the fridge before pouring in the matcha mixture. I take the mold out of the fridge and then rub/coat some unsalted butter so it wont stick to it that way will it change the taste will see or I can just chill the molds before using will that be ok or will it still be stick I don't know because I make regular giga pudding with it and it works so yea
@cephiro14 hmm...I think of course you can try to rub it with butter, then it definitely should not stick on the mold. But I think it will be enough just to rinse it with cold water before filling it with the pudding. Then you might need to use a knife to loosen the sides a little when the pudding is hard, but that should be fine. The pudding should make a couple of molds, so maybe you can try some with butter and some just rinsed with cold water:)
@cephiro14 :) youre welcome! I have an ebay store and sell different kind of green tea and of course matcha directly from Japan. If you want to have a look at it, please follow the link in the description :)
