djtrixen - I respectfully disagree. Palin's addition to John McCain invigorated the Republican party, bringing heightened enthusiasm to his presidential run. On another note - thank you for this story, although "more than a dozen protestors outside the restaurant" is an overstatement given that there may have been ten to twelve. Should that number of protestors even be mentioned???

I'm convinced if Sarah Palin hadn't been John McCain's running mate in 2008, we'd have a decent president right now. Palin cost McCain the election.
