I will say this much about LBJ...had he been on the ticket in 1964 with Kennedy...he would have been more effective then Kennedy in the House....pushing some of the contentious civil rights legislation through...as he was indeed much more adept and experienced at this task then JFK.

Lyndon had the fortitude and the legislative skills to get the '64 Act passed. JFK talked a lot in those rolling phrases written for him by Ted Sorenson, but he accomplished little as President. It took a man of LBJ's political skills and determination, not to mention sheer guts, to get the job done.

JFK was somewhat ambivalent about the idea of federal civil rights legislation, and wanted to delay it until after the '64 election lest he lose the deep South states. Lyndon had the fortitude and the legislative skills to get the '64 Act passed. JFK talked a lot in those rolling phrases written for him by Ted Sorenson, but he accomplished little as President. It took a man of LBJ's political skills and determination, not to mention sheer guts, to get the job done.

He didn't kill him at all the fatal shot came from behind RFK at very close range according to the LA coroner Dr. Nogouchi. Three CIA agents from Miamis JMWave were identified through photos. I was very surprised when I found this out but the info is out. The coroner wrote a book about famous deaths and some of the info is there. Sirhan did not kill RFK. The fatal shot came from behind RFK at very close range according to Thomas Nogouchi Los Angeles coroner at the time of the murder. He actually exposed this in his book years ago. I do not agree with crazy but i also do not agree with you somewhat. The war was started under Ike and increased aid for training of the south was sent by JFK. He had written plans to withdrawal by 1965 but died before reelection and LBJ did poorly by escalating combat troops instead of following through with JFK's plan. I will give some credit to him on civil rights which was part kennedy's but he should have done the same with Vietnam, follow what Kennedy wanted.

By the way, the 6.5 mm caliber Carcano rifle was a bolt action rifle that fired 3 shots 1 over the other. Some of the FBI's best marksmen couldnt pull back the bolt fast enough to duplicate those shots. Oswald was highly inaccurate and used a scope that wasnt sighted right.

It was a sloppy investigation, but I'm afraid at this point it's unlikely we will ever find out the truth. It happened so long ago that its almost impossible to find out what really happened. There are also so many lies and inaccuracies in the tidal wave of books that have been written, that its very difficult to separate fact from fiction. Painful as it is, I think the murder of a president in 1963 in will remain unsloved in 2009, and in the future.

im gonna b honest here. lotta ppl may get mad but w/e....johnson n hoover never HATED jfk. hoover n johnson were actually on good terms wit jack kennedy. but bob kennedy roadblocked them from goin 2 d president directly n dats why dey hated bobby. hoover actually prevented jack from bein killed two oder occassions suppisodly by d mob. he also kept many of jacks philandering from coming out. but idc jfk is the man n noone can ever touch him. hes d president dats every1 looks up 2 1 of my heroes.

I'm listening now. This is what I hear: RFK is describing some unmentioned person as a vicious, mean, bitter person. Apparently, Johnson is preparing to make concessions to that person. Whoever they are talking about is kept anonymous.
Then, the recording stops, and another recording starts. The second recording ios years apart from the first. Both of the recordings in this video are obviously unrelated, hence, I don't understand that connections that you are trying to make.

The killing of Diem is not an abberation. LBJ cannot be held responsible. The US took out or attempted to take out leaders of Indonesia, Cuba, Nigeria, Somalia, Iraq, Panama, the Congo, the Dominican republic, Guatemala, Iran, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Haiti, and others. Maybe even the US (JFK, Ron Brown) The CIA, an organization whose modus operandi in the political realm historically include techniques like sabotage, assassinations, and coups.
Why is LBJ singled out over the death of Diem?

In 2003 the History Channel broadcast The Guilty Men. This looked to see if Lyndon B. Johnson, Malcolm Wallace and Edward A. Clark were involved in the assassination of JFK. The show used evidence from "Blood, Money & Power: How LBJ Killed JFK by Barr McClellan." Also used sources like testimony of Madeleine Brown and Billie Sol Estes and research of Walt Brown, Ed Tatro, Rick Russo, Glen Sample, and Gregory Burnham.
No evidence implicates LBJ. There is only conjecture.

When judging the effectiveness and/or value of our politicians, why is it necessary to include their PERSONAL SEX LIVES? These people ARE NOT ROBOTS! They are still people, even if they have been elected to represent our interests.
I am embarrassed for our country when we focus on the sexual behavior of a public official and judge the job he's done by our approval or disapproval of his personal life instead of by his accomplishments AT WORK!

What accomplishments? Assassination of other political leaders? Vietnam's Diem was killed during the JFK administration. Hear the "LBJ Diem" tape, "so WE killed him...". Yea...he was getting rid of people.
JFK fucking with everyone but his wife, and doing drugs with them is OK with you? We are imprisoned for drug laws and he isnt? His daddy buys his election....that OK? And why did the press cover for his ass?

He signed an order in June 63 that enabled the treasury to print its own money, thus undercutting the Federal Reserve. Had he lived, we might have junked the Federal Reserve, which would have been a good thing. Immediately after his death, the treasury stopped printing its own notes. The bankers had won.

You appear to be naive. What about the tons of cocaine smuggled into this country by VP HW Bush? What about Clinton helping HW in this venture? Oh yeah this was during the alleged war on drugs. JFK prevented nuclear war you moron! The joint Chiefs and the CIA was putting great pressure on JFK to first strike with nukes against Russia. JFK was forced to open private dialogue with Kruschev to prevent an accident and probable retaliation. Do some research! You may be shocked.

As a side note....always remember that the media is NOT on your side about anything. JFK was a philandering drug-taking fool. He was more Caligula than Camelot. All of that Camelot crap was nonsense from the lib media; many of them knew of his girlfriends and drugs and SAID NOTHING TO US.
Just like other nations, The American news media is a control-the-people organization, with politically connected owners and editors running them.
Unfortunately, you forget that, or just dont want to get it.

I repeat my original amazement that we care less about the accomplishments of our elected officials than we do about their personal sex lives.
As for JFK, I knew little about him. What was important? I felt proud that he was my President. How many Presidents have you been proud of lately?
There's a difference between feeling pride and feeling ashamed! One's Sex life is irrelevant.

LBJ was only one of the plotters to kill JFK. JFK was already marking himself for assassination by making enemies of many powerful assholes. CIA, mafia, FBI, the military-industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us about, Federal Reserve people, Secret Service people, LBJ, oil execs, etc. Some of these guys and others had wives and girlfriends that JFK thought he could get away with fucking them.

When RFK announced he was running for president my father turned to me and said, "Well, Lyin' Lyndon better hide out somewhere cuz that Kennedy boy is going to bring out some dirty laundry if this gets rough." Days later Johnson announced he was going into hiding and would not accept any nomination by anyone to run again. I guess Dad was psychic or something.
Then they finally got Tricky Dick in.
