LOL I was in same clan with him and have played many many games with him if anyone can call Kommo a Noob it's me :P And I gave a wink emoticon so chill fanboys.
i have to agree with gravebound HoB looks like the obvious choice since shade knows exactly how to counter DF so maybe warrior and invis drake mass in t1 w/ archon then t2 wychs upgrades and massed scourges sounds alot safer to me whole lot o eco killing and go from there
Personally I would've went HoB and gotten to t2 and Wyches asap. That solves your detection and your range tie ups with 1 unit. Get some warriors in a raider and whenever he masses DR drop the jets on him (after you tie up dragons). 2 wych squads, archon with CoM, a scourge squad, and a packed raider should've been enough to handle anything he threw at you.
I watched Kommo in the VRI, and I'm not a DE expert myself, but I just can't contemplate why the hell you'd go for bike spam against eldar? Especially when you got creamed last game and Shade was likely expecting that BO. If you go Bikes then Eldar is gonna hit t2 before you. That means fire dragons vs un upgraded bikes which = instant rape. Why didn't you go HoB? Archon ties up squads way better than Hellions and his ability counters FoF. Drakes go invis and either kill cappers or guardians
kommoragh was one of my favourite players, i watched him through the VRI and he did well, seems a shame but still. congratulations shade great victory, good luck in the rest of the tournament.
Elf>Dark Elf. Rangers just so OP. These games prove that just can't push against an elf with a Ranger and Reaper seeing as you got to lock them up and if you do lock them up need something to deal with LP's but the Lp's just get reps from those uber bonesingers.. To effectively take out an Elf army you need a large amount of Bikes and by the time you get a nice mass Elf is just t2.
Ight buddy, you do know that Rangers have infiltration right? You can't tie them up when they are invisable you get 1 soul power detection for a while which doesn't last long until you get Hamo who can't keep up with the Hellions + Bikes who are chasing the FoF Rangers + Reapers. Come back to me when you know the game, thanks.
Kommoragh used his soul power detection too early tbh, he got a leader on his hellion squad shortly after which would have let him cast its skill on the rangers to keep them detected for a long long time, would have let him skip haemonculus until later and start the RJBs earlier.
@JusticeJudge i was 1600 in this game both with eld and de, I know what im saying dude.
You can use that device hellions have to keep rangers detected. Just the way Kommo did it. Know the game, bleh, dude I know both these players both from the game and DoW tourneys :P
@ ja1234567891 To use the device on the Hellions you have to actually detect them first then put the device on them so they stay visable. I know the game too and have been around since vanilla. Buddy I'll give you a little advice in the future, don't immediately say to someone they suck ass when you don't agree to what they say, that just makes you look like a idiot. I'm sure Vaul doesn't want to keep seeing these comments so i'll stop. Can't wait for next round :). WP Shade anyhow.
Yeah. But considering he just lost 3/4 of his army in 20 seconds, there was no point in continuing: the victor was clear.
Honestly, I feel some eldar units are a bit OP. A full squad of Firedragons can take seven or eight Jetbikes and win. Two squads of Reapers backed up by rangers devastate any small or medium infantry army.
And considering Dark Eldar units aren't known for their durability, the Eldar player won't even have to micro his units.
True. But with jetbike build-time and cost, it isn't that hard to do without incurring too many losses. Let's face it, after eldar hits T2, jetbikes become a harrassing force only that pretty much have to retreat if Firedragons show up. And if at that point the jetbikes represent most of the firepower DE controls, any engagement is an uphill battle before they even begin.

@JusticeJudge dude, you just probably suck ass, counter rangers with helions and mix hth with bikes instead of just massing troops.

GG, but the jetbike spam is doomed vs Eldar.
