  • What a waste of steak. You don't need no shitty sauces or coating.

  • i absolutely HATE watching cooking done on a news show. there's always a newscaster there talking through the whole recipe. shut the fuck up!

  • Ah the Sauce. Balsamic vinegar, port wine and some dried cherries. Put the cherries wine and vinegar in the pan you cooked the meat in. Bring it to almost a boil and reduce. Experiment, that is what it is about man.

  • When he got the pan out of the oven, he forgot to close the fricken door... What an idiot letting out all the heat.

  • how did he make the sauce at the end of the video??? HELLO

  • Is it really a good idea to let them sit with salt?

  • That knife thing was awkward.

  • That looked disgusting...

  • wheres wayne when ya need him

  • the test kitchen guy is a fuckin chode

  • That host is fucking scumbag. I hate people like that. Everything about him sucks. Pretentious, annoying CUNT.

  • @b1rdkeeper ooh, someone's jealous. ^_^

  • @LetoZeth, oh, are you the douchebag from the video :)?

  • @b1rdkeeper No, I'm a different, daily douchebag.

  • I really like the playful interaction between the 2 hosts. ;o)

  • If Harry would please go have himself a fresh cup of "shut the F up", that would be wonderful.

  • I want some now

  • Dwight from The Office: "could you put that knife down, you're making me nervous"

Harry: taps knife on table and holds it there for about 30secs until 1:02 when he says "I'll put the knife down", then holds it until about 1:16 when he puts it down, only to pick it back up at 1:20 and holds it till 1:30 when Dwight has to take it from him forcefully. Thank God cameras were there, Harry defiantly had some intent to have Dwight retire from The Office permanently.

  • i had my first filet mignon(medium 9oz) today at outback and it was delicious! I'll go for medium well next time

  • The host needs to shut the fuck up...What a fucking loser

  • Actual Instructions begin at about 2:40. Harry Smith is very annoying here.

After you sautee the peppercorns, you will either

A)Burn your hands rubbing it in or

B)Cook the meat if you put the meat into the skillet to rub.

Beyond that, the recipe works fine. Filet mignon is hard to screw up.

  • @ecogazoo I think it's a bit obvious your supposed to let the rub cool off before using. It's just the talkative host everyone keeps complaining about, didn't ask him if we should let it cool. See, too much talking can be a good thing.

  • "you have about thirty seconds left"

"fuk u for talking the whole time fag"

  • and he didnt come back lol not because he didnt like it.. but cause he was stupid

  • and he didnt come back lol

  • Harry needs to shut UP!!!! OMG!!!

  • That Harry Smith guy is a fucking annoying idiot. What a damn fool for handling the knife the way he was.

  • Anyone else want to punch that guy in the face for handling a knife like that? it probably isn't even his and he fucks the tip into the cutting board, leaves the once preheated oven open. christ this guy broke almost every rule in the kitchen... and never even got to see the meat.

  • they need to get rid of that obnoxious host

  • the host is trying to earn his salary haha

  • I would never treat my knife like that...

  • its $100 for the kids #LOL

  • That's how you cook them! Nice.

  • Why doesn't that idiot shut the hell up!!!! Aarrrgghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuck off

  • The host is never gonna learn how to cook....lol Talks too much

  • How that guy got to be a host on CBS is beyond me. He needs to go, if they already haven't canned him.

    Nice recipe. Easy to make.

  • mother of god that looks delicious

  • Are you my stalker, weirdo? Nice racist garbage on your channel, whack job.

  • Did they cut it off at the end because he spit it out?

  • that's about 200 dollars worth of meat

  • He can't let go of the FREAKIN KNIVE ô.O

  • the host talks too much its really annoying

  • he needs to slow his mind down

  • And yes, as a chef, I'd be scared of Harry also...There is no need to wave a "chef's " knife around like a lunatic while you're talking to someone...

  • to romerouno....yes there are different ways to cook meat but this method of searing the steaks on all sides and then finishing in the oven IS THE RESTAURANT WAY of doing it.

Now, I have seen them start steaks in an low temp oven for 20-30 mins and then finish on the stove.

To address the pepper- if you dont have a pepp mill you can used the pan to crush...it's an old culinary school trick.

Dried cherries in that sauce give it a sweetness.. any other questions?

  • 1:18 "now the center cut comes from the center.."

    O RLY?

  • He does explain why it goes into the oven but you obviously know nothing about cooking so stick to your microwave dinners.

  • My husband is one of those people that murders a steak, to the point that if there is any pink at all he will put it in the microwave. I have to start his steak 15 minutes before mine so he can relish that dry joyless piece of shoe leather. Meanwhile, I like mine medium rare, nice and juicy. I really know how to grill them up too. Now, when I buy steaks, I buy a good one for me and a cheap one for him, and he doesn't know the difference. Its horrible.

  • I find your comment strangely erotic.

  • Don't feel bad. My girlfriend drowns the best steak in catsup (ketchup, etc). Even at the best restaurants..........so I guess she is a hillbilly...............damnit! I am a bum chick magnet.

  • @Dionysius63 cant wait until she reads ur coment

  • You are too funny. My wife is the same way.

  • Well, your husband is a horses ass...He should stick to sloppy joes or something...

  • Wow, that made total sense!

  • @iH8Liberals1776 Go choke to death on your own vomit, loser.

  • Don't get upset, just learn how to cook!

  • Lol, the guy was scared of that knife, rofl.

  • how is that nasty? thats the way you eat steak. Why the hell would you eat steak if its completely overcooked?

  • why would you eat well done? you might as well eat a hamburger for gods sake. Steak isn't tender, juicy, and full of flavor if its completely overcooked and tough as it is when it is well done.

  • Well-done? That's a shame.

  • are you just fooling around, or do you really waste your money buying steak and then preparing it like a cheap hamburger?..

  • yeah i no man

  • no pinky color inside = well done meat! not steak! lol im wt u!

  • lol hillbilly. Do you put ketchup on your steak too?

  • I'm not a hillbilly. And who puts ketchup on steaks?

  • damn that looks really good..

  • they need to quit goofing off and talkin and juss make the fuckin steaks..!

  • omg he is used to knifes. that scardy cat

  • did he like it...?

  • 3 hunks of prime beef.

  • He went through those sauce ingredients pretty fast. Can someone recap what he said?

  • reduction of port wine, dired sour cherry, shallots, balsamic vinegar, butter....i would also add stock and reduce them together!
