To everyone asking advise! It takes a LONG time to train your Robo's and get them used to you. They are naturally very very shy and skiddish creatures so you have to approach them cautiously. Take 15-20 min every day to talk to them and just set your hand in the cage. They will start getting used to your hand and gradually after that you can pet them and then hold them. I got mine in Sep '10, it's Nov '10 and I still need to be careful around mine but I just keep talking and petting them.

First one would let anyone hold her and she was quite active, 2nd one was lazy and didn't like strangers (she bit a friend when she put her hand in the cage)
They never bit me. And when I once put my hand in the 1st one's way so she couldn't jump down she pulled my finger away with her mouth without biting it. Missing them >:

You have to be patient. No hamster is tame in a week. Give them at least a month to settle down, and if you have younger children, you should probably spend time taming the hamster with the kids out of the room.
Well since that comment was posted 5 months ago, they still haven't changed. There are no kids, I live with my roommate in college. I think most Robos are just pretty nuts in general. We stiil can't hold them anywhere but immediately above the cage, and we've still had a few close calls. If you put your hand anywhere in the cage they run to an opposite corner and shiver.

1 of my robo became completely tamed after 1 month but my other robo is about 70% tamed after 3 months.

I just can't seem to tame my Roborski hamster May either she tries to bite me
