hmm thats wierd cuz i'm almost sure it works on CS3. do you have a grandient option? cuz I used to have CS3 and i think there was an option for it. Another way you could do it is just earase the top half of the pic you are using. and just creat the grandnite with the colors like i've shown and past the pic it would give the same effect i'm sure
i looks at the video again and it work then i tried to do it with another pic and it did work .Plus i don't have that budh you use for the background design
