You're not supposed to swallow toothpaste just look at the tube. It contains Flouride like the drinking water now does. it's a poison and reduces the IQ and causes passive behaviour. Skeletal fluorosis is a bone disease exclusively caused by excessive consumption of fluoride. In advanced cases, skeletal fluorosis causes pain and damage to bones and joints. The 3rd Reich put it in the drinking water in Auschwitz, now the government put it in yours.

the government only add about 1ppm (part per million) to the water. it helps prevent dental decay. nowhere near enough to be toxic. a small amount is good for you, a lot is bad. same as many substances. still shouldn't swallow toothpaste though

My water actually tastes pretty good. I'm intrigued to know how you would know what it tastes like though. However, only about 6% of water is flouridated in the UK cf. 60% in USA. The taste is not affected by 1ppm F. Perhaps if more water was flouridated over here there would be less dental decay. But people like roadwarrior2006 are opposed despite knowing little about the benefits. He's making it out like governments dump barrels of the stuff in the resevoirs.

Actually the belief that flouride increases bone/tooth strength is very outdated, it does increase bone density, but not in a structured way, so it actually weakens the bone and can cause osteoporosis.

I'm actually studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Sheffield, we've done numerous modules on bones, bone growth and osteoporosis, one of the causes of which is high fluoride intake.

you're still a student? still some studying to go then. i am a qualified dentist. i studied teeth and the effects on them for 5 years. low flouride intake is beneficial to teeth. if you don't believe me then why is there flouride in toothpaste?

Low flouride intake will increase BMD, but not in an organised way which actually weakens the bone structure, the trouble is that a lot of people measure "strength" of bone simply by taking a measurement of BMD, which is an outdated system, but unfortunately still in use, as the majority of the time it's relatively accurate.

If you are a dentist, look up some medical journals on the subject (past 10 years) and see for yourself.
