  • surely if you keep your body loose you are not transferring anywhere near as much force from your lower body, torso through to your kicking leg.

  • my teacher said to keep your side leveled (like horizontally) when doing the kick, not vertically up. and he got his third degree black belt.

  • this guy doesnt even chamber his leg first, jesus.

  • nice PJs

  • @youngartist232 i practice ten thousand skills ten thousand times. bitchesss

  • is it possible to do this kick without dressing in such sexy underwear? Is it part of the Buddhist precepts to only wear silk underwear since you've given up your ego to wearing clothing over your undies?

  • LOL

  • LOL!Geese where do they get these guys?....lol

  • Clearwater? Scientology Kung Fu

  • Why do Kung-Fu practitioners always have their hands down? In some cases I have seen hands down and chin up. This is just asking to be knocked out.

  • I'm a little skeptical of this guy. Forth degree black belt in kung fu? They never used belts in traditional chinese martial arts.

  • Expertvillage brings dorks to give lessons to ppl, he can barely rise his leg up lol

  • For one, this is not a slide. A slide, or a skip comes from a hip thrust, not so much from moving one's foot. Second, it's good practice to bring your knee straight forward and high up. Then you have an unpredictable choice of round, side, straight or hook kick.

  • LOL he left his bathrobe on

  • spoc!!! or however you spell that im not really a huge star trek fan

  • sifu bullshite

  • edit, i spose this would be a effective way of defense if you are fighting a thug or something, but not a trained fighter

it may be usefull id have to see it inaction against another person to know if its effective

  • thats probably why its kung fu for health

i know any shoalin monk would beat this guy with one arm tied behind his back,

    he wouldn't last very long

  • this is terrible technique from heavily watered down chinese boxing, pathetic

  • eeeeeh eeeh eeeeeeeeh eeeeee GAY?

  • Hearing about MMA is annoying...almost any style of martial arts is mixed....in my style we incorporate many different styles...unless you're doing martial arts as it was practiced in ancient times EXACTLY...it's all mixed.

  • i dont know what style of kung fu this is but i study shaolin kung fu and we do a kick similar to this. what this guy did is not a slide but is a shuffle... and this is not very effective against someone who is actually good. this guy points his knee low because he is bending his knee making it so much easier for the opponent to block it. this isnt a good thing to teach a beginner in my oppinion because they would think it works alot better than it actually does

  • fa cagare

  • Wow this guy fails, I do better kung fu than him, can't keep his stance straight and his kick is too slow... Expert Village needs to take Kung Fu lessons.

  • If you did better Kung-fu, you wouldn't criticize someone else style. If you know the knowledge, It's better to keep your mouth shut than run-off at the mouth like a hot-headed egomanic who loves to pick a fight.

  • nice dress

  • @Mrtvababa ignorant fuck

  • @Mrtvababa fuck r

  • @Mrtvababa It's not a dress, it is a traditional Kung Fu Uniform.

  • this kick is only for health...because i dont see enough power and speed for a fight...the guy is just using the cuadriceps strength...i dont see proper use of the waist, that take a lot of power out

  • You gotta be kidding me my friend. One kick like in the face and you drop almost anyone. This kick had tremendous speed and a decend power.

But in combat, its all about timing, not about how much power you strike with.

  • well man im not kidding you..i am practicing martial arts for almost mi entire life(more than 25 years)..and i has a ton of fights in mi life...and trust me...in one ocation i take a direct kick in mi face, from a friend(national selected black belt in taekwondo)..and i almost get KO...and that guy have a perfect technique and power...i dont think this guy can KO me with that kick....

  • I respect you opinion, but I personnally know that I've drop many people with this kick, and I've been dropped a few times with it so, for me, it works pretty well.

Of course, many parameters come into play, but I think its unwise to declare something is inneffective: every technique can be perfected to a level of great effectiveness.

Train this kick hard, you could be amazed of its power. ;-)

  • Yeah you type like you have been kicked in the head a few times.

  • well english is not mi first language...sorry

  • Quality looking round kick.

  • this guy sucks, find an azn sifu from china

  • what if this guy trained in China?

also did you know that the man who invented Kung Fu wasn't even Chinese?

If a Shaolin monk heard you say that, they'd be pissed at you; its where they trained, and their sincerity, not their background.

Besides there is fraud, despite government effort, even today, in China, even in this day and age good teachers are hard to find not everyone has the patience to constantly correct a person's form.

  • you also make a good point, respect

  • youre shit compared to "ip man" ip mans the teacher of bruce lee he had over 1000s of students world wide and he will kick your ass if you were still alive . search him on youtube

  • yea ip man is the best

  • This guy would improve so much if he would increase his flexibility. His form, balance and speed would improve greatly.

  • @420gaara No, this guy would improve so much if he would weare something else!

  • @420gaara this guy would also improve if he did some f-ing heavy squats with good form!

  • @TheBAC4life fing.

  • if you learn kung fu and bjj and karte then

  • its just a demonstration - he should have shown fast speed though to shut all the haters up

  • useless kick....

  • obviously you know absolutely nothing about fighting/martial arts

  • i really hope you didnt plan on hitting any one with that kick. U could see it coming from a mile away.

  • his normal speed is alot slower than someone who would be using it to hit someone

-like many kung fu techniques its only practical if you are accurate and fast enough

  • i kinda agree, plus you should never lock out your legs. this is training video. what you do in training you do in combat. Also kicking that high to the face leaves you in a bad position. Unless your fighting some drunk ass in the bar. lol kicking him in the head would be effective, so would just pushing him down. And what were you doing in a bar in the first place.? meaning what are you training for?

  • I'de still rather run in with the old wind mill :D

  • well done

  • No power? No shit... look at his stance, it's a quick-attack not power attack.

Kicking with your leg or hitting with your hand/fist that's up front are ment for fast attacking and are mostly primary weapons when attacking/defending.

  • wtf hes got poor balance. he didnt need to wear that wushu outfit when this is pretty much jkd.

  • WAATAHHH!

  • What a Chinaman drinks

  • *this is kung fu for health* good excuse for bullshitting people

  • Cocking mama!!!

  • You suck. this is a shit no power kick.

  • Better than that taekwondo/karate BS

  • i agree with u this guy has no power plus my style does it as well and it is way cleaner tht that

  • ovbiously you've never taken a lesson in any martial art in your life

  • fucking cracker tryin to be a chink...

  • PUSSY

  • Its\'s technique from Lee en Kamon's book (Bruce lee). and your two foot's not in same direction.

  • Not too impressing....

  • Gotta love Kung-fu. Karate sucks

  • its hurts when i try to kick that high T_T.....

  • sigh!! they want to imitate the asians.. fucking whites

  • Totally agree with you. And btw, I'm as "white" as they come being from Norway.

  • Expert village makes money off all these people while they get nothing.

  • whats up with the red robes

  • idk probably traditional martial arts student uniform and he got a fancy one

  • don't think !! feeeel, It is like a finger pointing it's way to the moon. NOW TRY AGAIN!!! lol

  • Good video, although non-traditionists debate to this day whether or not to drop your guard while executing this move.

  • Well my Sifu reccomends to use the Thai method where they bring the other arm across the face as protection. Works farily well in sparring.

  • much better

  • Kungfu is better than karate

  • not really, there is no martial art that is better than another, it all depands on the person that trains harder.

  • PLEASE Do not call him stupid white boy , caucasian or not - it is just a tag! you are very good my freind - but I learnt this technique when I was maybe 2 years old - and was not into this stuff yet!

  • it's not very healthy for the person getting kicked by it ? LOL

  • مشكور

وربنا يوفقك ويهديك وينفع بك الاسلام والمسلمين

  • if you fail to execute this with speed it'd be really easy to counter

  • .. you want a medal for that statement? or do you want to throw it in with "youll get wet if you jump in the ocean"

  • just stating a fact smart ass

  • what could this kick be used for in real life??

if anyone knows let me know please

    thnx

  • If it caught you on the jaw, it would be really annoying...

  • lmao, thx but i was looking for how it could help better than the normal sidekick, i mean in a fight u wanna defend ur self not annoy the person, lol

  • This kick is good if your a stripper and your catching dollars with your ass!

  • lol

  • Why, improving your health, of course.

  • thnx but that wasnt the answer i was looking for, i was wondering how u could use this kick in a fight, like how is this kick better than a normal sidekick, that sort of things, but thnx anyways

  • Well, no technique is better than another, it's really just about using something that works at the right time.

But, to answer your question: this is a pretty invisible kick, compared to the classic roundhouse kick. It can be used to surprise an opponent. For example, feint a punch to the face and your opponents guard will go up to protect the face, then kick the leg or the stomach using the kung fu slide up round kick.

  • +1

Someone on this site actually knows what they are talking about.

  • The round kick (a.k.a the round house kick) is used to come at your opponent from the side. Think of it like trying to hit them with long hammer where as the side kick goes straight at them. The side kick is a little harder to do but is harder to defend against and harder hitting. The round kick is faster and can be repeated more rapidly than a side kick. The sliding part provides forward momentum which makes it more powerful and at the same time helps clear distance between you and your target.

  • wow, thnx. best answer anyones given me on this video. very informative

  • good technique, but no matter how good someone is, id be laughing my ass off if someone were dressed like that trying to kick my ass.

  • Shoulders perfectly level.

    Good job!

  • He remind me of the Kung Fu monkey dude from the cartoon Kim Possible, Lol!

  • funny really cuz every kung fu style has different defence stance and wat hes wearing if he had it a little smaller but hay im not hear to judge

  • oh not this guy again

if you want anymore comedy videos

see him on the kick boxing advice he gives

    youl love it

  • this is kung fu for your pajamas :)

  • you need an emty chest (shoulder more foreword and lower)

  • its funny none of these guys are chinese.

  • sifu not the same signification in china

  • WHY ARE YOU WEARING THAT???

    ...LOL!!

  • they all have a perpose and the wasted movement. kunfu patterns could be powerful if they did not have wasted movement then all moves have a purpose

  • poor guy I think he might have been beaten up alot at school, so his mum sent him to a self defence class for retards

  • this is prob the best video Ive seen from this guy..

    G-J there..

  • Not the worst I have seen but there isn't any snap to his kick. I wanna hear that trouser material whip into a sharp snap at the end of the kick. Then you know you are on the way to getting the right degree of control, power and focus to the kick.

  • Soft "internal" styles don't "pop" their trousers when they kick, but I see your point.

  • muy malo!!!! puajss

  • this is stupid why dont you just do a cat spring?!?!

    dumbass

  • you're god, now i wil kick butts xD

  • nice pajamas

  • Then he goes to the ground and screams because he has no clue what to do

  • Wow, that's really ignorant of you. You have NO idea what kind of background this guy has. For all you know, he could have had some training in ground techniques AS WELL AS kung fu. Not to mention that since he is a sifu, he has so many skills that can be utilized in any situation, whether that be standing or ground. In short, he knows a multitude of ways to make you hurt.

  • but there is alot of wasted movement in kun fu i noticed that in thier patterns 90% of the moves in the patterns have wasted movement taewkwon do on the other hand dose not have wasted movement in the patterns (i'm in tkd and i have watched kunfu patterns ) all the moves are not wasted

  • wow shows what you know. i practice northern shaolin kung fu and wushu. yes, our forms have a lot of movement, a lot more than tae kwon do or karate. but it teaches us to use our whole body in fighting instead of just using punchs kicks and block. We have a lot more moves and techniques at our disposal. but if you've ever watched kung fu sparring, it's very different from forms. It's very fast and brutal.

  • TKD apparently has no concept of Center line and actual fighting. Point sparring is useless. I am sure you are wondering what the heck is a center line. Ask any traditional art, Chinese or otherwise they will tell you.

  • I'm sure he does, it's not a sport so... that means eye gouging and groin strikes will happen. Full guard in real life outside the ring = mistake

  • i mean full mount sorry

  • Sería mejor que enseñara como dar un golpe mortal con esas orejas. hahahahahaa.

  • bas rutten uses a similar method for kicking. by straightening your back leg while simultaneously extending your front leg, you can generate insane amounts of power.

it is fairly choreographed and not the fastest kick, but if its blocked, it will more than likely break an arm.

  • this is infuriating

  • *stands still and lets kung fu guru kick me in the head.*

    *nothing happened*

*breaks kung fu guys ribs with thai kick*

  • if u let anyone over the age of 17 kick anyone on the head, something will happen. I mean come on, its a free kick, everyone has some degree of power in their kicks before joining a martial arts.

  • true.

but there's a big difference between stunning the guy for a split second and kicking him hard enough to cause spinal injuries.

  • reality -* stands there lets kung fu guy kick you in the head...brain damage* 2b fair cudnt be to much damage done if your willing to let people kick you in the head.lolz

  • haha fair point about letting people kick you in the head.

What I mean is that this kick wont have much power because all the power comes from the quad muscles of the kicking leg rather than from the hips which is where all "turning" kicks should take their pwoer.

  • i agree but this kind of controlled training is important in building up accuracy and power. would be ridiculous to kick like it in a real fight though.

  • wtrfffffffffff

  • so suck kind of kick like baby's could be call kung fu?you even didn't scratch the surface of kung fu

  • *grabs leg and grapples*

  • ... thats karate kick... kung fu doesn't let thier guard down during kicks

  • Neither does Karate

  • they put their arms down during kicks like teakwondo

  • change ur outfit mate...

  • this is boring!

  • lol i wish my gee was like his....

  • lol
