Went there when I was a kid and I still remember it. I remember the boat rides. In the boats the center of the floor is glass so you can see the fish easily from the boat. I want to go there again but Africa is so dangerous now.

i stayed here back in april 2011 and it was magical. The staff are great dead friendly and always to hand. Especailly the animation team to keep the younger ones entertained with many water sports and land sports. I especailly if anyone goes talk to the animation team for the great days out e.g. the local beach walk. Also ask for Saleem of the animation team say dale sent you :D

damn... you are so lucky to move and live there...you will love every single bit of it...growing up there was a real life experience for me ...i now live in San Diego CA ... which also has beautiful beaches and the weather is great like Nairobi....one day i've move back home ...there is nothing

like home.

i used to live there, went to school at the aga khan academy, i lived in nyali near the tamarind resturant, omg if you go there go to the tamarind. also hunters steak house! round the corner from where i lived, so good! i miss it, i speak swahili fluently. kwa heri!

I hv heard of cafe mocha. Mostly I used to hang around Nyali Nakumatt area also. Old town is the only one I know cos I hardly went there. Only as far as Light Hse & Fort Jesus.

I went to bamburi beach in october wiv my son n i , and wow all i have 2 say !! i loved it , every1 so so nice, beach boys could ba pain in the arse but ok when u learnt how 2 deal wiv them lol. visited a masai village n god did i realsie how materialistic we all r , n by that i mean even havin simple things like runnin water ,n the luxuries like tv and a house . These ppl lived in huts made of cows dung! made me realsie so much more about life n like i saw sum1 write b4 " wow... i grew there "

It depends what you intend to do. If you only stay at your hotel, you don't need a lot of money. If you go in the City (Mombasa), the mini bus is very cheap. I booked a 2 days safari there (the more expansive) without credit card and it was 350€ per person I think. If your hotel is Bamburi beach, there is a bank with a withdrawal cash machine at 1 kilometer (take on your left at the exit of the hotel on the main road). Except for my safari, the bus and the tips, I didn't spend anything.
