  • Thanks for making this lovely video. I love OroAnk, Shinto mytholgy, and snakes!

  • what is the name of the first song? any one know?

  • @hoopinfalcon

    It's a "神々の詩(Poetry of Gods) by Himekami.

  • Wait nvm hehe wasnt paying attention

  • Name of first song?

  • @xyang26

    It's a "Poetory of god".

    Was your doubt solved?

  • Well, I've been doing some research for a project in school about Japanese culture and stories. I stumbled across it, and since I'm an avid Naruto fan, took intrest to it.

  • Wasn't there a Japanese folktale with Orochimaru in it? I think it's called "Jiriaya Goketsu Monogatari".

  • First off, I thought it was Yamata-no-orochi? Anyway, do you realize that part of that story was in the manga Shaman King? Ryu had to climb to the shrine without cheating, and eventually obtaind his wooden sword from the place; it's his Shin-boku God wood sword. I just realized that after looking at all my old Shonen Jump Magazines.

  • I forgot to say that I love the music of this vid too!

  • Oh, Now it makes sense! :D

    This was sooooo interesting!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR TELLING.

    Yamato-Takeru:

I found him! He's in the second volume of Ko-Ji-Ki.

As you told, it's said that Yamato cut the grass of a whole plain by using Kusanagi/Tsumugari, and then set the plain on fire.

  • Very interesting!

Thank you for telling me these things,

in this way I can understand better the miths. <3

  • Yes, it was difficult to find because the version I have, translated the name of Orochi into "the Dragon with eight heads and eight tails", so I couldn't find his name!...

Then I searched for Susanoo... And here it is!

It's in the first volume of Ko-Ji-Ki, in the section "Legends of Izumo", chapter 18 called "The Dragon Of 'HI' river".

  • But then, cutting a tail of Orochi, Susanoo finds a sword that is called "Tsumu-gari" in the version I have, and not Kusanagi.

    What's wrong??? O_O;;

  • That was really good!^-^ An interesting myth, I really liked it! :D
