I have loved this so ever since the first time I heard it. I didn't know what it was about but there was something about it that just hit me like "wham". I always wondered and tried to research what "el farol" means but got nowhere until today. It came from a real raw place. That's why it speaks so much to me. I love that it's so emotional and organic. What better way to honor the memory of someone you love than through song if that's your craft

His music almost makes me cry. All his notes mean something each telling a story. He is the only reason I play guitar( and through the blood of Jesus Christ) and i will be posting many covers of his songs
what a great way to describe your inspiration - I feel the same way about his playing - he is a unique talent and there are none greater with a guitar
@Guitar2GodsGLory Whoa horsey! I have studied your theology so understand the nature of it, but to other people, you may as well as said through the spleen of Jesus Christ. Start with the cool socialist stuff, then ease them into all that horrible crucifixion ordeal. Whew! HELLO?!? Can some one find me one religion that does not have some kind of violence at is core? (No offense, old chap. Jesus is fine man to follow. Even Thomas Jefferson loved his social message, as do I) How about Buddah?
Ive seen Carlos Santana and his son Salvador in concert when they can to Corpus Christi,Tx and i got to sat it was one hell of a show, and to the guy talking shit about Salvador Santana QUIT HATIN

@nevajoseph "El Farol" means "the lighthouse", it was the only guidance the ships had in ancient times to reach land when they were up at the sea.
