For all Donkeys: It was a throw in, and therefore the german player is supposed to stand with his foot on the sideline when he passes the ball. He didn't do that until the third time, and then the time was out. Great referee!

The ball wasn't ever out-of-bounds, the referee did blow the whistle (which marks a foul, not a throw-in), and didn't make the motion for "throw-in" until the third time. But most of all, a referee not only *can* re-set the clock if something like this happens, but he *has* to. Stupid, stupid ref.
