  • 273 people hate taking pictures

  • why would u dislike this song? what would be going through your head? "I hate happiness! the world is a terrible place full of cameras! I am clicking the upside down like button!" Then they would laugh evilly and return to there parents basement.

  • @RhymeTide LOL you're right! This song is brilliant - they must really hate life if they dislike it

  • Found out about this band in "Nick and Norah's infinite playlist"

Holy fuck, that movie has amazing music.

  • thumbs up if you're a hipster who dislikes that this song was in no strings attached.

  • anyone knows the name of the camera????

  • @malenatomoe Not sure, the name appears to be in Japanese. It's a medium format TLR and looks like a Rolleiflex copy. Minolta, Yashica, and Mamiya made camera's like this as well. Needless to say it's impossable to make a movie with this type of camera.

  • @user8881 Yes but the wind mechanism on the side of the camera makes for very quick sequenced shots, So all those photos the man was dropping on the ground was most definately taken with this style of camera. Or actually maybe not, for it would take ages to manually develop that many

  • @dairylandbogurt The pictures that he used in the animation were defenately shot with a DSLR, not the TLR that he has in the video. The aspect ratio is a 3:2 rectangle, like digital or 35mm. The cameria he has in the video is medium format that shoots 6x6cm square negatives. His pictures would have been square. Also, that camera only has 12 exposures in a roll of film, if you wanted 12 frames/second, you would shoot the whole roll in 1 second. Not that's possible anyway.

  • @user8881 Also it shows him developing 35mm black and white film. The camera in the video uses 120 film, and the final animation is in color.

  • this song always puts me in the best mood. i'm not going to try to be clever, i'm just going to say that i really enjoy this song. plain and simple. yes.

  • @ilikefriedchickenful

    brought me here, too ;)

  • @ilikefriedchickenful Good song. Shit film.

  • @ilikefriedchickenful

Really? I heard about them a few years back from the movie" Nick and Nora's infinite playlist". (That probably sounded really hipster.)

  • @SomeWittyCatchPhrase The fact you said it sounded hipster makes it more hipster..

  • @SomeWittyCatchPhrase

saying it sounded hipster lost you like all indie cred you could of earned from knowing about bishop allen back when nick and norah was made.

  • @SomeWittyCatchPhrase No, a hipster would've know them before the movie.

  • @SomeWittyCatchPhrase Who really cares who heard of it first? As long as we heard of it is all that matters.

  • @SomeWittyCatchPhrase

Really? I heard this song about four or five years ago on triple j! (ultimate hipster) :D

  • @ilikefriedchickenful Hipster GTFO!

  • @ilikefriedchickenful really?? they played this song there??

  • @ilikefriedchickenful yeah , me too :P

  • u know its just a video and they are just making appear as though they made pictures?

  • @larok21 no it isnt, they got tons of pics, and their doing that one frame at a time thing

  • where can i get this song?

  • @compactita ITunes has it along with a Radio site which lets you download song completely legally for free. it's called RCRDLBL Radio. Google it... Hope you find it!

  • indy pop at its best

  • @MrTevez11 oh man, shut up.

  • remember kids, you're not indie until you have a bolex.

  • This reminds me of Juno

  • his voice sounds kinda like walter schreifels

  • I can play this on the Guitar!!

  • The only way you could get rid of the sound is if you use flat wound strings or nylon strings

  • Music is supposed to be auditory experience. When needle scritches across a record we know that sound isn't supposed to be there and it isn't doing the record or our ears any favors. At some schools they teach violinists not to slide into notes. Usually we are supposed to mentally delete or not be bothered by guitar string scritch. Sounds deliberate in this one. Figured out how to make the scritch part of the music. No. You are right. Guitarist can't play without scritching.

  • Awesome video i like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing

  • Hi, We're Bishop Allen

  • i like the rolleiflex camera lol

  • Jeez... it sounds happier than happieness even would be sounds! So sad... They have must popped some extasy to write this chords.

  • this is amazing! <3

  • Gotta love Bishop Allen . <3

  • @popp1nbottlez Best Comment! <3

  • what a great song. i love bishop allen.

  • Dull, shallow pop. Search for Suburban Kids with Biblical Names instead... More real, more soul and certainly more interesting.

  • Mellow. <3

  • bishop allen, new pornos, The Cinnamons, The Doors, Joy d. <3

  • This is absolutely amazing. I am addicted to Bishop Allen now :)

  • that was intense!

  • cool video!

  • i thought they were gonna blow up big after they appeared on nick and norah but i guess i was wrong... probably better off. i wouldnt want skinny jeans v neck wearing posers listening to this band. i love them too much

  • I love how he was recording in Dominican Republic <3

  • @xxiFREAKxx i think they recorded in new york somewhere, dont know where you got Dominican Republic from.

  • @222thehobojoe the flags are dominincan

  • @noahsdisluvio yes but they live in new york there are various different "little" districts like little italy or there might just be some sort of festival, chances are a small band such as bishop allen doesnt have the budget to afford a trip to the dominican unless they had a tour there which again is doubtful, feel free to correct me.

  • what kind of cammera is he using in the video?

  • @JNJBJB Rolleiflex :)

  • @JNJBJB I'll correct that... it's a seagull!

  • i like this ....a friend says me that this song is good and I love this song

  • I like this band...They have a real organic sound...♥

  • Such a great band...I wish more people knew of these guys. Anyone not aware of them is missing out.

  • Why do people not like this guy or this kind of music? This song makes me happy :)
