Decorated accordingly, it would be a good gift for a single male - just to have supplies around in case of emergency! Or even a female that isn't into sewing. Smaller ones would be good for anybody to place in various locations, out in the open to grab quickly instead of rummaging for the supplies. I think I'd make it using a smaller jar. For guests, a smaller one on the nightstand or dresser would be an added "decoration" that is also useful! I think I'll make for my son!
I think this is a great gift idea. Very cute. I may do this next year for Christmas presents. This idea could also work really well for a cross stitch or embroidery kit. :)

I have gift ideas swimming in my head,
this would be a great gift for the beginning sewer, Holiday themed sew/craft jar kits.
I wish i had seen this sooner for this Holiday.
