  • If Commodore done this sort of thing originally before IBM started using CD's and DVD's the Amiga would have been what we had for a PC now.

  • Hello...

How do you made the HOLE for the CD? which instrument do have used ?

    thnks

  • @cicalone70

Hi, I used a Dremel tool and then a small file to round the edges and level the straight bits. It took alot of time slowly filing the hole level. I dremeled just a touch inside the line I made to give enough room to file afterwards.

  • @phipscube Thanks.. YOU HAVE TO MAKE a TUTORIAL... with pics.. and video !! ;) bye

  • That was magnificent!

  • Hi:

Can you tell which is the Cd driver model and how did you install the eject button?

    Thanks

  • @FernandoelChachi the DVD drive is a TEAC DV-W28SL. commonly found in G4 macs and Dell XPS series. I bought it new without the bezel and soldered two wires to the eject and LED mounting board on the front, then ran the wires off to the push button which I hot glued to the inner casing next to the drive. I hope this helps you :)

  • Cheers ADRS1600i :)

  • Very tidy installation - very hard to make something look so neat.!

  • Thanks! It took some time and patience to carefully file it level after I'd used the dremel but i'm very happy with the result :)

  • so nice, lovely and clean
