Rick reminds me a lot of The King. Both were at the crossroads carreer wise and knew that in order to survive they had to make the transition musically. The Prince of Rock & Roll burned the house down. Rick & Stone Canyon Band kicked ass & took names!
Ricky Nelson and the Stone Canyon Band .. featuring Randy Meisner, Allan Kemp, Tom Brumley and Pat Shanahan. I feel this was when Rick was at his best .. this man was so under-rated and was a big part of music history. But his music lives on.
I worked with Rick during this time period and he poured his heart out into the music.
