  • this is movie is ridiculous, it doesn't show any BJJ, what is showed there is Japanese JJ

  • i had a good movie on my hard disk for so long n didnt know. gonna watch it now. thanx for the trailer :)

  • This is very nearly a summary of the film, rather than a trailer.

  • Awesome movie, even though it made me really question UFC. I thought it was a great way to promote what Jiu-Jitsu has to offer people who want to learn real battle ready self-defense.

I can't believe so few went to see it.

  • @IsolationInstigation

Jiu-jiutsu initially thought fighting on your feet and ground fighting! It hought kicks and punches also! Brazilian Jiujitsu, even as thought in Brazil, still focuses too much on ground fighting! Ground fighting is something you want to avoid! UFC is a competition and there won't be another opponent that's coming fron behind your back, in real life that's not the case!

  • this movie means a lot but it's underrated by lot of people

  • The movie it's self was great but the story should've been longer by lettin Mike Terry fight a few competiontions so that the movie can be more extended & build suspense in the story

  • This movie is a perfect example of a warrior fighttin a battle 2 truely win. It applies to real life in a very significant way. Livin ur life by ur principles & let no one stop u frm doin so. At the same time u have 2 do wat u have 2 do 2 survive, 4 urself & 4 ur family. It's about a martail artist livin by a warriors code while gainin wat he thought was some allies but gainin enemies by manipulation of him & his family 4 greed.

  • there's a couple different types of Red Belt; the first kind is the Tae Kwon Doe Equivalent to a Brown Belt. the 2nd Kind is by being a 9th Degree Black Belt & passing a test after the 9th Degree Black Belt is held for something like 25 years, instead of a 10th Degree, it becomes a solid red belt & finally, the 3rd kinda Red Belt; the Great Grand-Master; (There's only two in history & the only way to earn it is to make a Great Grand Master Tap Out, or kill him with an unarmed, legal hit

  • bad script main character couldnt focus look like a lead paint baby good idea though for a movie just wrong main actor for the movie

  • i think it's a great movie. i just wish the fighting scene at the end would be a little bit longer and intense, so it all make sense as a martial art movie. Chiwetel Ejiofor played Mike Terry really really well

  • this film is not really about fighting its the moral of jujitsu

  • sucked...enough said..slow and not all of good action...after awhile I just wanted to bang the lawyer ahaa...agreed?

  • Thanks I don't need to watch the movie now. You failed at selling it, cause you just gave it away.

  • Solid movie. Great actors. Enough said.

  • probly one of the most underrated movie ever

  • This trailer is fuckin horrible. It just showed the entire movie in 2:00. Worst fuckin trailer of all time and such a great movie like RedBelt doesnt deserve to have it spoiled and misrepresented like this trailer has.

  • This trailer gives the whole movie away, even the climax.

  • I love this movie, is so deep and personal for me.

  • @havoc448 You clearly haven't seen enough movies.

  • Looks like one of the most retarded movie Hollywood has created

  • @sinathfr seems like u never have done any of the martial arts especially aikido nor ju-jitsu. This film wasnt about "flying in the air kicking fast shot thingy" a-la matrix. It was about a real guy who treats hes legacy with respect and honor.

If u r looking for action movie try Pokemon or some other Desperado - this film was definitely not for you buddy. It takes brain to understand it.

  • @MrFatfree God, trying to philosophy on that retarded movie. You are hilarious

  • Chiwetel should display some Naija kun-fu skills

  • This movie went beyond my expectation. I normally hate western fight movies., but the story and acting was way better than expected. Less about fighting than on morality and honor.

  • @Oritz1977 I don't think of it as a martial arts movie, more a movie about a martial artist.

  • dam i wanted to like this movie it had a great story line but dam it was just plagued by bad acting bad directing and even bad editing. Such a shame cause there were some real good actors in this film.

  • anyone know the song at the end/credits ..

    good movie btw

  • @dropdeadso1 Rebecca Pidgeon - Manha

  • everything about this movie was superb, except Tim Allen wtf lol.

  • Really good movie, one of the best i saw in a long time. The Philosophical aspects are the movie are what made it great not the fighting. This trailer did give way too much away though.

  • such a bs if u would have one hand tie U gone in ring or cage

  • I saw the movie I thought it was great! Fucked up his wife sold him out. Trifling bitch.

  • Hmm. Cool. Saw the trailer, saw the movie. No point in watching the movie now. *Nod*

  • Chiwetel is sooo hot.

  • this trailer gave away everything that happens in the exact order it happens. wtf is wrong with these people?

  • never trust a women or a movie star lol

  • pretty much...

  • Great Real Movie- The Life Of Most Good People Get Tested Hard... Proving yourself. Then The Haters Know After You Beat Them... Peace

  • @Nubiah9 IT HAD A DEPRESSING MOOD OF TRADITIONAL JIUJITSU BEING KICK OUT OF BUSINESS BY BJJ ... JOKE

  • @2submit

    I dont understand. Please explain.

  • @cerasi209 i was just trolling its a good movie :) peace

  • Chiwetal is a great actor and should get much more work but this movie was just stupid. The final fight scene in the tunnel was moronic and the whole premise of the film was weak from beginning to end.

I have trained BJJ since 96' so it's not that I dont "understand" theart.

  • THANK YOU!!!! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE! I was pissed that Dan Inosanto didn't have more of a role in the movie. He's in his 70s, I wasn't expecting a fight scene but more than what he did. He could have at least said something. This movie made Brazilians look evil and martial art students look like they didn't have a mind of their own.

  • Dude, I totally agree, this motherfucking movie wasted my whole evening :@

  • I agree with you,I believe the movie sucked.

I love BJJ but this was a B movie

  • the only people that didnt like this movie were uneducated bitches.

  • Oh! You didn't like it either?

  • affirmative i HATED it.

  • @retardfried the movie was complete rubbish, the dialogue, lame story, the fight choreography was pure crap. One of the worst films ive ever seen, and ive been in martial arts for 25 years and bjj for 5 so I thought it might be interesting. It was an embarrassment.

  • I`ve just watched the film. As some people mentioned here it is fantastic. Although I am a bit confused about the ending (who was the one that told on him his wife or the guy he was training?) and I think they could give some explanation as to how he overcame his financial problems and settled the matter with the tournament I still think the movies is awesome. It suprises all the time and the characters look so real.

  • LukasAPoland:

    *SPOILERS*

His wife told the producers about the incident, for money I guess. I think we can assume that after he received the redbelt, he exposed the tournament, and I'd guess he sold the $250K belt and helped his wife and Joe's wife.

  • Good trailer, but it gives away too many spoilers...

  • Someone needs to give Chiwetel Ejiofor more movies.Calling him the next Denzel doesnt do him justice.

  • This movie was amazing. I found it very inspirational and motivational. I liked it so much I kept it a day extra and paid the late fee so I could watch it again. I'm going to buy it, no question. Excellent performances all around(incuding Tim Allen in a small part that I found surprising because I didn't think he could do serious acting)and Chiwetel Ejiofor was superb. David Mamet was at the top of his game. A truly superior film.

  • wot the fuck it looks shit

  • Jiu Jitsu

  • I think its out today 5/2. I can't see it yet....but I WILL!!!! It looks excellent.

  • yeah..i love CE long time :-)

  • @tracee78lynn Chiwetel Ejiofor: Call me Chewie ;)

  • whens it out

  • I cannot wait for this film. It's message goes way beyond the physical nature of it's message. Mental toughness can overcome any obstacle or situation.

  • you been smokin?

  • mrjolly: internet mewtard!

  • GET A LIFE ANUS HA HA

  • I AM RUNNING TO SEE THIS FLIX

  • this can't come out soon enough
