the information about codon usage seems to be wrong. i just did some research to find out. please see this link (all 64 codons are in usage in human genome to varying degrees): ... I think what Jordan meant to say is that 22 amino acids are coded by the available 64 codons, and therefore there is something called codon degeneracy. It's possible that an expanded human genome could occur in which our amino acid library could expand.
