  • Im´ still afraid of them. Tried recently.

Aiming goes to hell once these get close.

  • Well, I wasn't going that ability to sleep anyway.

  • I freaking hate these things. These were so_fucking_unnerving. And they walk towards you with their creepy face... Ugh!

  • The latest model Japanese sex robot. 1:57 ...Those Japs are really sick bastards...

  • Suggested video #1 after this:

    Baby Duck

  • "Must be right under my nose."

    What nose?

  • What if Crytek decided to make System Shock 3?

    I Guess you could say

    *Puts on sunglasses*

    It was a Midwife Crysis.

    YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!

  • @wand222

    [Crickets chirping]

  • These cyborgs would scare the crap out of me. I would just run in and lay the hurt down as hard and as fast as possible just to shut them up, lol...

  • The turrets in Portal 1&2 sounds exactly like a Midwife!

  • That game as a whole, feels like a an old-school Portal to me

  • @Shiek927: LOL. More like: Portal feels like a shitty System Shock.

  • "Time to test your reflexes." O_o

  • Hell I'd still hit it.

  • @hazeman671

    With a Laser Rapier.

  • when you fight them, do you call it a "midwife crisis"?

  • @sm2142 Argh

  • I was holding a wrench when the first midwife jumped out of the curtain wall, I couldn't think of anything else than jumping it melee style in pure terror.

  • fk fallout 3 and new vegas, they got nothing on System Shock 2!

  • @NeoFreezz ...Shouldn't you be comparing SS2 to it's spiritual successor the Bioshock series? Fallout 3 and NV are part of the.... fallout series believe it or not.

  • @SkullMaggot Am I the only one who sees nothing in common between System Shock and Bioshock? O.o

  • @naierer Yes.

  • @naierer The similarities are there, Bioshock had a chance to be great but it was ruined with #2. SS2 was so far ahead of it's time, they just don't make games like that anymore.

  • @SkullMaggot They're the exact same story. The only difference is BioShock doesn't have The many, but really you couldn't have The Many in BioShock without it seeming forced. I like SS2 and BioShock almost the same, SS2 only gets a nudge because it's cyberpunk and while I'm obsessed with dieselpunk, I like cyberpunk just a bit better.

  • @naierer Really? They both start on the medical level, they both have the protagonist being lied to by an antogonist, they both have "little ones" being protected by a parental figure (midwives in SS2, and big daddies in BS) They both have zombified people running around trying to kill you, they both have ghosts walking around talking about what's happened so far. How do you not see they're basically the same story?

  • The first time I heard one of these bastards I almost got a heart attack. I was like... "What the HELL is that?!" The sound of their footsteps always scared me.

  • Best game ever... Lookin Glass, where are you?!?!?!

  • 1:57 Scared The Crap out of me

  • Oh deary. I remember these guys. >_<"

  • @FrenchieMeister

  • ponies brought me here... the hell

  • 0:02 I'll make you sammich

  • 1:47 << Did she just call me fat?

  • The Midwife- Nanny of the Turret

  • I got my ass kicked by these when I first found them

  • Which faction did these serve? The Many? Shodan?

  • @TheLackofattack The Many.

  • That is absolute horror right there O_O

  • So what do I use on her ? Anti-Armor or Anti-Personal rounds ? ...

  • @ReconUnitZero Explosions. Explosions solve all problems.

  • @ReconUnitZero Armor-Piercing.

  • Imagine one of these trying to deliver your baby.

  • @dsagentutube Thank you for planting that idea in my head, you sick bastard. ;_;

  • @SuperFantasticFox You are welcome.

  • 0 health.

    Uh oh.

  • Why the fuck am I watching this when I'm just about to get ready to go to bed.

  • @SmorshNG I have to ask myself the same thing. :/

  • 3.Penumbra is scary as shit.

2.Amnesia is shit your pants scary.

    1.System shock 2...(nuff said)

  • 2:48 - That what I think it was?

  • @chief1223

    "I'll cut you in half."

Is that what you thought it was?

  • @SartoriusSeven No, but it's a lot more appropriate.

  • shit.....

  • The voices...

    The Atmosphere...

    Bioshock can suck it!

  • Thank you for reminding me of this game. Now I can go back to NOT EVER SLEEPING AGAIN.

  • God damn I hate those things. It's worst when you they're around but you can't locate them. All this incoherent babbling and singing drives me nuts.

I think the only thing that chills me more is a hybrid suddelny charging in from behind screaming "AAAAAARGH KILL MEEEEE!" in a previously empty hallway.

@Colton5 I hope that doesn't happen. Else EA or Bethesda will lay their dirty hands on it and make something awful out of it (ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: HYBRID SMASHEEEEER!).

  • Seriously, could any of you suggest a creepier enemy in gaming history?

  • @hamstaman anything from silent hill lol mainly the walk the nurses do tht creepy as fuck

  • The worst is when she sings to the eggs.

I had to stop it about half way through. Too many memories of shitting my pants during the game.

I even had a dream once about the level where you first run into the cyber maidens.

  • GLaDoS... is that you?

  • This is bonechilling.

  • @zengunman yep sure is

  • THEN NEED TO REMAKE System Shock 1 and 2 DAMMIT!

this game and the original with all these voices and awesome badguys would scare the shit out of all these modern video gamers. put their little punk asses in their place

  • @Colton5 I agree.

  • @Colton5 YOU ARE SO RIGHT...

  • @Colton5 c i love all the new horror games but the 1 that always makes hairs stand up on back of my neck is silent hill 1 the music from that creeps me the fuck out where as the new cames go more for cheap thrills and pure terror and suspense. more of a BOOO ha made u jump

  • @Colton5 They must not change the dialog! At least for SHODAN, Her voice is perfect, both buitfull and menacing

  • @Colton5 That's what bankrupt Hollywood does, remake shit. Why waste all that time and money remaking a fine classic like SS2, when they can hire people with ideas, talent and creativity and make System Shock 3.

  • @airix10 lol what I mean is not a total remake but a revamp of graphics. I would love for them to re-release the original and second game just with better graphics and physics is all.

  • @airix10 I would rather have an amazing remake of an old masterpiece then a new modern day piece of trash. I wouldn't want a shitty remake

  • @Colton5 You know what would happen if it was remade, right? Regenerating health, cover system, all the skills will be removed, and the enemies will be replaced with Russians.

  • @HuskyVerbatim well they did remake System Shock, it was called the Bioshock series and it blew.

  • @Colton5 are you daft? I don't understand why so many people say Bioshock is remake of System Shock this game isn't even close to be similar. Just cause it has "shock" in title dosent mean its f** remake of System Shock morons

  • @HuskyVerbatim

    That's what I thought about DeusEx:HR. :-D

It's a really great game in its own right and I enjoy the hell out of it. But the missing skillsystem, the new aug system and the cover system are a bit oversimplified.

Besides that I still think that SS2 is one of the scariest games I've ever played... especially those damn midwifes... creeping along a shadowy corridor behind you, their cybernetic feet clanking on the grated floors... coming for you...

  • @Colton5 or maybe do system shock 3? I mean, If you played system shock 2 (and finished the game) you know at the end, they left us with a cliffhanger. :D

  • @LilleBazo I would also love that too! they did good with Deus Ex Human Rev so I have hope

  • @Colton5 I agree, at this day and age it's gameplay factor may rival even Dead Space or the current BioShock Series.

  • @Colton5

They don't need to remake them. They need to rerelease them.

  • @Colton5 I'm only 14, a modern video gamer. But I still respect older games and support them, ignoring their graphics, and paying attention to their originality. 90s games are awesome!

  • @Colton5 you know it!

  • It always gives me the creeps when I hear a midwife is near.
