  • Good job!!! Love the guitar too :)

    Tres Bien!

  • nice, perfect .. :D

  • that tele's got a nice tone

  • Dude,

You're VERY good, to say the least. I've played for 25 years - I can tell you you've got the riff down pat - nice job! It's not a perfect execution, but then again there's only one Albert Lee. I have desperately tried to find tablature to exactly what you're playing here, but have been unable. If you have a source, I'd love to know about it. If you figured this out on your own, I'm even more impressed. This solo smokes, and you do an excellent job with it!

  • it comes from the REH book, the videos transcription but more complete with the entire song transcribed.

You can find it anywhere in a sheet music shop i guess.

  • Thanks for this info - I've asked for anything by Albert Lee in several music shops, but no luck. Can you give me more detail about the name of the book, author, publisher, date, etc? Thanks for your help. By the way, when I commented on your execution of this solo I should have mentioned that most players, including me, would have diffculty playing it nearly as well as you did with it. Consider posting your performance of the whole song.

  • There are two books because it was two VHS from REH. The one that features"Country boy"is called"Virtuoso Techniques". Manhattan Music Publications Editor Askold Buk Distibuted by: CPP Media 15800 N.W 48th Avenue Miami,FL 33014 (305)620-1500 It was done in 1993. The one onewhich features lots of Albert Lee classics and a stunning version of "That's alright mama"from Elvis Presley is entitled"Advanced Country Guitar"and is edited by the same Editor and music publisher.
  • nice try...keep on practice and i would like to see more stuff, and maybe mixed with a little bit more style of your own. Could be very interesting xD

  • all credit to you for a most gallant atempt,

you're pretty good to say the least, but instead of trying to emulate albert, project somethin' of yourself rather (?)

  • that wasn't the purpose but of course i could try to do it.

Just to point out also that to improvise on this uptempo is not an easy thing to do and i have a live from Albert where he's playing mostly of the solo parts from the REH video note for note too.

You have a version of an improvisation of that tune, would like to hear it also.Keep in touch, musicalwise will be better.

  • cool...very difficult song

  • Thanks!Could have been better but could also have been worse in fact! One take and nothing underneath my guitar to hide the playing for sloppy things.

I'm not Albert Lee but i tried to play it as best as I can.

Maybe will post a better version one day.

  • nice.
