  • To make holes bigger, when the materials are not cooperating, insert your scissors closed, inside the small slit you have made, right AFTER you have heated the area with the gun, insert closed scissors, then open the scissors slowly, turning at different angles. This will give you a bigger hole with out having to cut any more. Just use the scissors to stretch the hole by opening them. You must do this right after applying heat while the wing material is still hot and workable. Hope this helps :D

  • Ah, I see well thanks for letting me know :)

  • I was wondering what problems you had that made it so life sized wins wouldn't work?

  • @JadedragnMovies It took forever to dry, the clothes hanger rusted and it's more expensive than just buying them.

  • Do you think these techniques could be applied to life size wings?

  • No. I tried it and it just doesn't work as well.

  • Hi great vid, ;D ace!

how do u add little viens? can u use a smaller wire? also could u show how to paint a fairy wing like a butterfly?

    :) thanks.

  • Strands of silk make excellent veins. I'm not planning to make any more wing tutorials at this time.

  • The fairy wings are so pretty! The bat wings are cool! I love the blue paint you found:)
