@2000S3000E: Sally was munching in almost every episode she was in! Check out Worzel Pays a Visit on here. For me, the funniest is when she is munching handfuls of hot chips in the chippy whilst cooking them. They're a hungry bunch!!! lol
I remember watching Worzel growing up. At first I was frightened but grew to love him. I'm looking for the episodes with Aunt Sally eating cake and plastering it all over herself, for such a refined lady she always pigged out on cake.
Barbara Windsor is in this. Here's proof that there's more to her than Eastenders and Carry Ons. She's also in this, episodes of One Foot In The Grave and Dad's Army and she's in the fun fair part in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Forgive the swearing but worzel was a fuckin legend, who had relatives, dads, uncles older brothers sisters etc that use to go around imitation worzels famous catchphase "cup of tea and a slice of cake" lol..
My uncle who is 71 still uses this saying on occasion just like he did 30 years ago..
@26highstreet I know where you're coming from. I still remember this even though I was about 6 years old when Worzel was doing the rounds. Classic stuff from a bygone innocent era.
I dont remember Wurzel bein this jovial when I was young. It just used to scare the shit outta me. Ghost of xmas past must have visited him. lol cheers
Thank you for posting! They broadcasted in Italian tv when I was a young boy. Funny, ironic... today something like this it would be immediately censored, as too intelligent and dangerous.
I came in from kitchen with a cup of tea and (several slices ) cake and thought id check this out. it has beena while but john pertwee has always been oneof my faves.
@kazer4 This is like the exact opposite of his version of the Doctor. Raggedy clothing poor grammar and from Earth. But his just as amusing and charming.
NornIronFC-i don't think it is available any where except on the DVD.which is available from a company called delta i know because i've got it!! the complete show is actually a musical.
Jon pertwee was brilliant as worzel, Geoffrey bayldon as crowman and earlier as the hillarious wizard catweazle made it unforgettable viewing.sadly jon passed away some years ago,and ime sure geoffery died in the last year or two,a lovely man, bless em both.
How British can you get, a song about a cup of tea and a slice of cake! Though I do feel lucky to have been born in the early 80's. Kids shows nowadays just doesn't compare to my own shows.
This was part of my childhood and thousands like me it was entertaining and original. Looking at the garbage kids are exposed to now, we were lucky in the 80s and that doesn't include the make up and costums etc here..very well done man give it some credit
