they wont use drilled rotors because they get them so hot that they need as much surface area for stopping rather than cooling.it allows the heat to disperse through MORE metal as less would get hotter at the moment of extreme braking!More like a reddish orange vs. yellow<--Yellow bad.. they only use them one time anyway
@chrismc410 You won't usually find the cross-drilled rotors on high-performance vehicles because the structural integrity of the brake is compromised too much. For a daily driven vehicle, yes, you could get cross-drilled and slotted. Calipers make a huge difference as well.
@wccrispy good answer mate. I asked my motorsport tutor the question: "why don't they use drilled discs on race cars" and he did not know. I don't know in what hole the college found him but I suggest they put him back in there cos he's bloody useless........

@wccrispy Don't they make rotors with both slots and drilled? If so, I would get rotors with both. The best of both worlds.
