i don't see why anyones got problems with Vista it's great! Just because it won't work on your 20 year old computers like XP will doesn't meen it sucks! It doesn't have any bugs at all! XP is more complicated and has more errors than Vista (Same machine btw dualboot) But since I hate Windows all together Im going Mac Windows 7 isn't even good enough for me.
I got many problems with vista on my amd phenom 9950 black edition ati 4870X2 oc edition and 6gb DDR2 1066mhz RAM and its not 20 years old its 2 weeks old i installed windows 7 adn it works fine, XP is more stable than vista is and it doesnt hog ur RAM.
Well if its custom thats probably why Windows has never ran well on any of my custom machines(thats why I dont use them anymore) Before I got a MAcbook I had a cheap Acer Aspire 5315 laptop for 399.99 at walmart 1.73 ghz Celeron 2 GB ram 80 Gb HDD it came with vista basic and I tried to use XP on it and It was horrible! Im happy with my macbook though everything I;ve put on it has worked awesome so far!
@computerchris122 I us windows 7 now and I like it way more than vista and a bit more because I can have games in DX 11 and play more games if could do the same things in xp i would like xp more.
@braydenmartindale i bought an new laptop that have centrino2 processing , 3 gb ram , it had windows vista preinstalled and it lagged like FUCK , then i installed the windows 7 , no lags , no freezing , no shutdowns by it self
maybe you got lucky and the vista you had isn't fucked up who knows
In my opinion Longhorn would have been MUCH MUCH better than shitty Vista although it was a combination of vista and XP. They could have made this work if they didn't cancel the project.
