I dont mean to sound condesending, but what do you mean crazy huge worms. Those are hardly even half the length of most garden worms that one of the other posters stated comes out mostly during heavy rain. I know ive gone out and done worm hunting before fishing trips on rainy evenings and picked worms nearly 15 inches long before from my own garden, so those you have there seem rather......puny.
Im familiar with that worm it is the real night crawler or AKA alabama jumper some call it.I think they wiggle more than a red wiggler they wiggle so much they jump and break easily and they dont like hot compost they like to live in leaf piles too much heat in the compost pile will kill them.The worm everybody refers to as a night crawler is a garden worm these are the real night crawler they come out at night after a rain and completely leave the ground the forage for food.

@thewormbin I think I found a worm like that in missouri. It wiggled so violently when I picked it up it freaked me out so badly XD
