@mysticgatherings interesting that u say that bcus @ the AIM convention this year, Shirley preached & Dorinda introduced her as her mentor. It's on Doe's webpage 2. & during Doe's Singers & Musicians Conference she stated Shirley was her mentor. AND when Doe preached at Shirley's church last year (i attended) she stated the exact same thing. So I'm assuming they are both her mentors bcus I know for sure she whole-heartedly looks up to Shirley(as well as Maria)cus she says it all the time.

@012Key She looks up to Shirley as a MUSICIAN. Shirley has not ALWAYS been a "Pastor." I saw her last evening here in D.C. and was sitting thinking I remember when she was just Shirley Ceasar and not "Pastor" Shirley as tey kept introducing her. If you watch Dorinda's singing "style" is very much like Shirley's and we all used to call refer to Dorinda as "Little Shirley." Shirley has been singing for 40 years and Maria has been PREACHING for 40 years. Not brain surgery.
