@newpixeldude Nope and especially not as a radio single. Way too similar and considering Beautiful Day is still one of their most popular songs on the radio U2 would get absolutely slammed for "copying" their own material.

The drum beat at the chorus sounds wonderfully familiar (a la Beautiful Day). This song really grew on me since the first time I heard it. So uplifting it brings a tear to my eye now. In contrast, BD is a catchy song you fall in love with the very first time you hear it, which explains its massive,mainstream appeal, I think

Pretty incredible, this band. I worked at a record store in 1981 and a coworker handed me the "October" album. I became an instant fan- they have had such a powerful career....I swear when I saw them in concert- in 1984- it was a spritual experience...just like this song....ascending...

I cant decide if i like Beautiful Day or Always better now, i think id be more inclined to say always if i hadnt heard BD live though! .......... I agree, please play some of your great b-sides live! especially this! :)

the verse of this song is the same chord progression as With or Without You, and the chorus is Beautiful Day. This is one of my favourite U2 songs and I really wish they would have popularized it more.

@michielterpelle This should have made it to to the album. That's why there are B-sides though. Look at Angels and Airwaves. The first album was like listening to the same song over and over with different beats and lyrics.. LOL

I like it too. I think the reason U2 left if off the album was because it sounds a lot like Beautiful Day, which they came up with from playing this song.
