wait did you purposely tune it down, because putting a capo on the first fret basicly means normal tuning. But dude you did a great cover and i love your voice! You hit a lot great notes man! And im sure if you had a band playing in the back that emotion you added could like bring up others emotionally to.

yea...basically i tuned it down, its not so much a mirror performance of marty sampson because he uses standard tuning and he plays capo 5 C. But all in all, I thought this was a pretty good cover. Thank You and all with the nice comments and also the bad the comments. I'm happy for them and I will definitely improve on my voice. Thanks again. Pe@ce!

@coreybhayes: i tune down a half step most of the time and put a capo on the first fret. it gives my otherwise overly bright guitar a little lower overtone. it's in the same tuning, but the neck tension is different.

Your voice is fine. I mean, yeah, you could work on your tone and breath support, but that's really relative to who you're trying to portray. Marty Sampson has a voice that is on the breathy/husky side. He uses more air than required, but a lot of people like that style. You'll find your true voice when you sing a ton of scales and work on intonation and tone. good job though. Strumming is good, just watch the chord changes in relation to the rythm. watch dynamics :) Cheers mate!

seriously though, marty ampson doesn't sing this one. Jad, the electric guitarist does. everyone else made fun of stuff, but i say this in all honestly, marty sampson does not play guitar. and jad, who sings this song plays his gibson les paul when he plays it. and the last line was out of tune
