The wisdom of the world is foolishness with God...thats all I think when I see these "intellectuals" or philosophers or philosophical scientists...they know nothing...just nothing but theories.
@TheCartesianTheist Thank you CT! Btw, I'm working right now on a in-depth video on the Kalam, defending it and looking into objections here by some people, I will release it as soon as possible; Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, soon atleast. But as a video I'm hoping it will stir some nice dialouge on the argument, being a very in-depth video (50 minutes long so far! (May have to divide it into parts though))
Sounds great. Do you already have a bit on the criticism that the Kalam commits the fallacy of composition since I think that criticism is becomming more popular of late and it would be good to answer it.
@TheCartesianTheist Hm, not yet. The structure of the video is this (Table of Content),
1. Background and History of the argument 2. The Premises and the Conclusion 2.1 Whatever begins to exist has a cause 2.1.1 Ex nihil, nihil fit (I make an argument here for the truth of this premise which I will see how people will react too) 2.2 The Universe began to exist. 2.2.1. In-Depth Discussion on Cosmology (Quite much time has been spent on this part, since many object to this)
2.3 Conclusion: Therefore the Universe has a Cause of its existence.
3. Objections:
I'm working on objections right now. I've started answering recent claims by Dhorpatan on the BVG-theorem as he has responded to me about that. Then I will look into antybu86's objections in one video mostly concerning premise 2 and cosmology. Then after that I may look into the Fallacy of Composition; Do you have any video on that where someone uses that objection?
You seem a bit extreme, I have an atheist friend and he's quite nice, and fair. I think we should offer a great amount of intellectual respect to atheists as many of them are intelligent people who are honestly searching for the truth. Most of the atheist you will meet online are bigoted, but I assure you that they are the minority.
@MegaExelo Agreeed. The majority of my friends are Atheists, (Maybe because I live in Swewden) and they are very kind etc. It may be a different story with many here on Youtube but it's really wrong to say that therefore Atheists deserve no intellectual respect.
lol, like 90% of my school is christian, but my own group of friends does not contain 1 christian. Most of them are agnostics or agnostic who lean towards atheism or deism. I am the only theist there. However, almost all of them are incredibly passive (on their beliefs, they really couldn't care less), and i haven't really gotten into any big debates with any of them (except one).
@MegaExelo Haha oh, almost the same for me. Sometimes I want to discuss the existence of God in a friendly manner, but I don't want it to become a heated or 'angry' debate. x)
Make atheists prove the absolute legitimacy of their foundational assumptions in regard to Reality. And if they can't do that, then tell them to go be quiet. Expose them as having no authority in intellectual matters at all. They're just a pack of philosophical frauds, even on their own vaunted terms. For their own sorry good, do not let them off that intellectual hook. Debate them on our terms, not theirs. And show them no intellectual respect at all. They deserve none!
wow I'd have to watch that five more times to get all of it! Just thought of a great reply to the anything-is-possible-in-a-billion-trillion-universes theory: could there be another universe where Christianity is true? but just not here. lol.
