  • @Dankduster Yup, it's an intonation problem, very common with beginner horn players. But he's got GROOVE.

  • it's a honour for who like me, studying trumpet read a comment like this. Many thanks.

  • kawerty:

    1) Classical music is like any music and isn't governed by rules even though people make it out to be.

    2) Laid-back and up-beat are opposites musically, but I think I get where you are coming from. :)

    JazzFromMe:

I agree with some of the comments about the pitch. It seems that right from the get go your trumpet is slightly sharp compared to the record. I recommend playing the root note of with and tweaking the slide to match the pitch of the loop, the your solo will be more hypnotic.

  • @kawerty as somebody who is now playing keyboard for over 15 years, I can tell you playing classic music is way easier than playing jazz.

  • @kawerty ignorance is bliss isn't it...

  • @kawerty if you know jazz, it's the complete opposite of what you're saying

I normally don't post comments, but this one i couldn't resist

    Little Strict rules? Come on

It took the great ones decades of studying 10 hours and more each day to get to their level

How's that for just a flow to feel?

  • sometimes out of tone but really good!

  • eh.. ma ho visto adesso che sei italiano... ah ah ah... non c'è storia, siamo i migliori :)

  • Dude... you rock!

  • out of tone

  • you've got soul man!

  • good job

  • Fucking beautiful man. Makes me wish i didnt stop playing the guitar?

  • love it!!!

  • ;-)

  • go for it dude, you`re doing fine and you`ve got good taste. enjoy!

  • many thanks.

  • The name of the background beat?

  • St. Germain - What You Think About... (from the Tourist album) :)

  • durisimo

  • its okay bro. not bad. just work on your timing and pitch a little. jazzy beats are meant to be a little off tune. keep on trying. one day you will change the genre. nothing like a LIVE show ya dig?!

  • Hi bro, follow a music tracks is funny and instructive; in this vid(and others) i play in casually and instictive way. I've started a musical route studying with a expert trumpeter and when i have improved the jam sessions is that one i want. I don't think to changing genre because jazz is my music, maybe the idea is study all the possibilities for make jazz. Take care & ciao from Italy.

  • yeah! italia is definitely in the house! i dug it. i think a live musician mixed with live dj or automated track is certafiably dope. the more i listen to it the more i like it. keep it up.i think st.germain would even bob his head to this tune. ciao

  • Please man, no more, I like St Germain.

  • No more? I'm studying man, take care.

  • why do not tune the bloody instrument that is terrible

  • because this happen when you try to learn alone a instrument. Luckily i started to study with a expert trumpeter...

  • dovevi evitare di schiarirti la voce rumorosamente

    ciao!

  • menomale che per il ruttino mi sono trattenuto

  • es bueno esta usando una wah-wah mute

  • gracias, estoy todavía aprendiendo (y utilizando un traductor ehehe)

  • thanks, i want try a second time this track when my level with trumpet will improved.

  • you are sexi when u play that ;) n st. germain is one of a kind

  • lol...thanks ;-)

  • dai ci stai dentro! continua così man! giusto una cosa.. intonato è meglio. però spacchi!

  • Aver iniziato il percorso da solo mi piace molto e mi ha sempre fatto molto piacere ricevere piccoli suggerimenti spontaneamente.

Grazie. (Menomale che ora studio con qualcuno...ehehe)

  • very nice! I used to play the trumpet in middle school.... long time ago lol hearing that makes me want to go back. it was a lot of fun. Good job!

  • ehehe i'm glad to read this, thank you.

  • grazie!!!!!!!!!!

  • bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for the comment, at the moment i'm studying with a expert trumpeter, and i have started to use the coulisse for the tuning.

  • you are good.but as a music teacher, a little untune...keep trying.music needs practise!

  • you need to practice a lot, scales with electronic tuner and correct your intonation... and some notes; it will give you good results. good luck bro!

  • thanks bro, every suggestion is always appreciated.

  • a bit untune...need intonation..bro!

  • ehehe is true i don't understand why with the silent brass i see a little difference about tune, but the funny when you study alone is also things like this, but thank you for the comment.

  • It's always nice to see a new video from you, my friend. I enjoy watching your videos- you really do have a feel for jazz music. Keep me posted =).
