My card reader only has 4 pins would it be OK to plug it into the half of the USB slot that fits the card reader plug?

Thanks for that. I have just received my custom built computer in the mail and found that I got no response from the card reader. So I looked through the window on the side (very fancy) and to my surprise I saw that the card reader wasn't even plugged in. So their "specialist team" who conducted "rigorous testing" must have had cataracts. With this video I fixed it in two seconds flat.
