I was thinking about the Fedor playing "possem" thing myself as well. Since Fedor approaches ever fight differently when it comes to game plans. For Tim, he knew he was faster, and needed to close the distance. Nog, avoid his ground submissions, pound him from above.

Arlovski, very fast and dangerous. I feel Fedor was just being very patient. He's a thinking fighter Fedor, he was DEFINITELY prep'd for that kick/counter.. the right hand was cocked/thrown as he grabbed/blocked Arlovski's kick.

But yeah.. Fedor wasn't about to charge in like he did in the Sylvia fight. Arlovski IS good with his hands, and that training he got from boxing showed alot. He actually had the skills had he had the patience and commitment to that plan layed out to maybe take Fedor out.

However.. neither fighter was hurt or in ANY bad shape till Arlovski's HUGE mistake opening up like that.
