Thank you for the information. I ordered the parts and built your reactor. It works perfect for my setup, sitting in my 5 gallon sump. I highly recommend this build for anyone looking to put a nano reactor in their setup. Great job on the design and thanks again!
Thx for the comments....MFodleg, I got the tube from Tap Plastics, part number 23477. The od 2 1/4" Acrylic Tube (1/8" wall). The center bar is a 1/4 inch threaded nylon rod with 4 nylon nuts which hold the pads in place. The pads are cut from a cross stitch sheet from Michaels, 7 mesh...seems to hold the pellets well.
i dont see any skimmer near the reactor where is it?

What is the inner and outer diameter of the acrylic tubing, and where did you purchase it? How are you holding the upper and lower pads in?

the reactor should have less flow otherwise it will be hard for the bacteria to colonize it. but in all really good idea

What do biopellets do for the aquarium?

@ansonwilson, solid carbon dosing encourages growth of nitrate eating bacteria - should improve coral color and reduce algae growth
