I was in HS when this song came out, & I remember really liking it. (I had only heard Empire and Silent Lucidity on the radio, then they started playing this one).. Then i ended up getting Mindcrime, Warning, Empire, etc. I realized, wait a sec, this band is freaking amazing! His voice, the music, song structure, etc..Well, they ended up being my favorite band now. Id have to say my favorite album is a tie between O:MC & The Warning. Roads To Madness is my fav QR song. Best band/singer ever
guys u gotta face it no matter wat where not gnna hear the godly sound of the old queensryche anymore face it and plz stop complaing they change every album every band has their ups and downs especially them even the new album had some good songs at the edge was great so if u dnt like it thn stay listening to empire and anything before tht
@satansskidmarks It's sounds kinda like a cross between the riff from Vaseline by STP and What If by Creed.I doubt Queensryche really meant to rip anyone off though
@ColtinNotChicken what if was years away from debuting when this came out and vaseline was pretty close to its release date. Mainstream mid 90's radio maybe but copying off of those 2 probably not
@Georgeous129, I haven't see it as of yet. I'm still wishing for When The Rain Comes by QR here on YouTube. I'll keep you in mind if I see it. RYCHE ON!
I love the chorus too this song. It is grunge in sound but very Queensryche in its orchestration. Just like Dream Theaters Falling into Infinity. Both albums showed another aspect in their talent & musicianship.....I loved Queens album in 1994 too. Damage was a fucking bad ass song. I just wished that QR comes back to their old stuff. We need Empire part 2.
man I live in WA.state near Seattle and I loved this band back in the day like 90 or 91 but then I started really getting into punk and other stuff and lost track of them it's good to find these guys again
Queensryche`s Visionary Insights into "The Signs of the Times" Are A Biblical "Prophecy Of Things to Come... The Eugenics, and Rex 84 Programs, The Fema Prison Camps & Rise Of The 4th Riech.
"Read Between the Lies, Criticize The Words Their Selling... Think 4 Yourselves, Feel the Walls Become Sand Beneath Your Feet"... "The Warning" Of Our Lifes, Thanx Queenryche for Your Work & Hearts, I Echo Your Words, "Knowledge, was it Worth such torment" I Feel You My Brothers
The first time I saw Queensryche was in 1983,,I was in a record shop the other day and saw this c.d. and decided it was about time for a new shot of Queensryche.Still love them...
On the senate floor they congregate
Many pockets lined with green,
From those behind the scenes, yeah they take the bribe ( it's on the side )
A sign of the times, sign of the times... .... A call to O C C U P Y !

@rgoodburger Well I'm not saying Queensryche copied those songs, but this song is definitely inspired by 90s alternative.

Don't like this. Not as moody as Rage For Order. No magic in talking about how bad the times are...

Prophetic song, typical QR. Wilton and Degarmo were the best guitar duo out there.
Chris needs to come down from the clouds and play again.

speaking of prophetics. there was a prophet 5 synthesizer used in this song.
