  • Roger Federer 4 time record champion. Roger is class and greatest

  • Nadal said. " Sampras versus Ivanisevic match. or one between those kind of players, is not enjoyable. It's not really tennis. it is a few swings of the racquet. For me in the past it was just serve"

cheater. Fake time-out. ugly gamesmanship. too noisy annoying. arrogant manner. annoying and blind fans.

clay excluded. successive win 0. If grass and a hard are fast. Like Sampras era. Nadal is able to win only with clay. power defense muscles. boring ugly. All the surface is late now. Sick

  • @overratednadal 12 grand slam titles...Turned pro at 14. Un-reachable shots being made. What else do you want?

  • Roger is the kind of player that will win if he plays his best tennis. So he'll never have the feeling when he looses that the opponant plays too good. It would be that he wasn't playing at his best. So I guess that would be more dissapointing.

  • If Federer plays Nadal it will always depends on how well Federer plays. So whenever he loses he feels like he didn't play that well. And when Nadal loses it will more feel like Federer just was too good. You have to understand that they play two different playing styles :)

  • Fed talked about how sometimes momentum gives a big win, but Federer had ALL of the momentum on his side going into the 5th set

  • "Not always the best player wins." Roger you are a dick when you lose sometimes.

  • RAFAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • best game au open. 2005 Roger and Marat's SF. 2006 Roger and Gon final. 2009 Federer and Nadal final.

  • 2010 us open champion Rafa Nadal

  • SHAM of MTO

  • federer is such a jerk - accept it nadal was better than you. im glad rafa won. federer cant even talk about anything other than himself. sore loser

  • What are you guys talking about? Federer said the best guy won. Federer critcized his own performance.

Some of you need to learn English if you can't understand what Federer is saying. Take lessons from Nadal!

  • @speranza91986 He didn't say the best guy won. He said in the 5th set not always the best guy wins. Which is really low of him. Fed is a nice guy when he wins but he is the meanest out there when he loses. Too bad cause he is a good player, but Nadal has both talent and a humble heart. Bless him.

  • @speranza91986 he said "in a fifth set its not ususal the better player always wins".... i dont know what you gathered from that but, it does not sound like he was saying nadal was the better player at all, he said nadal played well which isnt saying much

  • @speranza91986 he said NOT always the better guy wins.............pretty sore sport. I was very dissappointed to see him like this.

  • this guy hesitates to praise anyone but himself. . .

  • @novemberjam

    What guy?

    NADAL!?

  • this guy needs to learn some english....he will have many more press conferences in his life....c'mon rafa you can do better than this

  • @turbocelica1 why don't you learn spanish smart ass?

  • @4fabiola Yup!

  • why you need to hate on tennis player? that just weird

  • Im pretty anti - Fed on this one. Rafa spent more time apologising for his win, than he did embracing it!

Rafa has far more class than Fed. True sportsman.

  • federer also had 7 grand slam titles at the age of 24.

  • @vwsoidfgjhvnwilfjhqm nadal and federer both won 8 GSs before they turned 25, but andal won his less that two months after his 24th birthday whereas federer won his about two months before her turned 25, nadal is still quite a bit ahead of the curve when compared to roger.

  • I loved this win for Rafa, it was the best men's Aussie Open final in a very long while

as for Roger, he was pissed off that he lost and even more pissed off that he lost to Rafa AGAIN....he had lost that epic Wimbledon final to Rafa a few months prior to this, as well as getting destroyed by Rafa in the French Open final before that....his annoyance is definitely understandable here

  • Federer would not have won Roland Garros if Nadal would not have been in such a bad physichal condition; the same for Wimbledon

  • @ibra49 I agree. Federer's 2009 French Open title comes with an asterisk. He never could beat Nadal at the French and he still never has.

  • @spinnerNsports Winning a slam isn't about beating one specific player. It's about winning 7 matches in a row. No slam ever has an asterisk, no matter what the circumstances. Last year at the French, for once, Nadal wasn't good enough to make the final. Federer seized his opportunity, and deservedly won the tournament.

  • @MrRippy99 Clearly Nadal last year wasn't playing his best tennis at the French. Plus, Nadal wasn't 100 percent physically.

Federer is arguably the best tennis player of all-time. I'm not taking anything away from him.

However, even the most diehard Roger Federer fan has to feel a little empty knowing that Fed still hasn't beaten Rafa at the french.

  • @spinnerNsports they also have to feel empty that roger is perfectly happy to beat everyone in GS finals and hear them paise him in return. However, when someone beats him, someone who has wo fewer titles than him mind you, he screws up tehre moment by crying

  • @Currymastuh Man u hit te nail right on the head, That roger guy cannot accept anyone beating him, somehow i felt so good seeing that fellow cry. i felt at that time that he deserved it, well said currymastuh

  • @Currymastuh and see how sweet and humble nadal is and how arrogant this roger bugger is, Bloody ego filled guy, in fact i wanted him to come to the US open finals and have nadal screw his ass again . as someone here rightly said he is full of himself

  • @ibra49 And Nadal would have have been number 1 in the first place, if Federer didn't get mono, but there's no point going down that road... There's no use making excuses. Injuries are a part of the game.

  • Meant to say "have never been". Sorry...

  • hey don't don't be so mean to federer, he is the best player and he always will be

  • @EmitFlestiKY Nadal is 24 and Federer 29 so when they'll stop their carreer we'll compare. 7 Grand Slam at only 24 is just impressive. Admit that.

  • @EmitFlestiKY And yet, when Rafa and Fed play head to head, Nadal usually comes out on top.

  • @EmitFlestiKY I will in some years...by the moment...2 more on that list for Rafa!

and by the way...masters titles dont have value? what rafa has done with masters with only 24....at least i think its fine...

everybody said last year he was finished...there was no doubt...everybody so smart saying this...and look!

never say never...wait and we´ll see....

  • I agree Federer isn't very sporting here. That's very unusual though! He's usually very good. Loosing a GS final must be heartbreaking, regardless of how many you've won previously. So criticising him for being a bit grumpy and crying is very easy to do when sat in front of the computer. Fed and Nad are BOTH awesome!

  • That was quite arrogant: "not always the best player wins..." WTF

  • REAL CHAMPIONS KNOW HOW TO HANDLE A DEFEAT, NOT ONLY A VICTORY.

Roger Federer knows how to handle a victory. Now, he should learn to handle a defeat as well. Then he will be a real champion and a gentleman, like Nadal is.

    GO RAFA!!!

  • There is no mother in this world who has given birth to a child who will break Roger GS record. Almost unbelievable

I respect Rafael nadal but he isn't like federer

  • @jamil078 there is not record which have nt broken. some day a guy will brake his record. i only hope his talent to be at least like federer's. and not to be a.... body builder like rafa.

  • What a sore loser Federer is. I hate you. Learn to lose. It's not rafa's problem that he's better than you.

Age 23: 17 ATO Masters 1000 (same as Agassi in his whole career) 6 GS (5 of them beating Federer in the Final)

Nadal is going to break your GS records Federer. Face it. He's better than you

    Nadal>>>>>>Federer

  • @Swordsman808 buuuuu haaaaaaaaaaaa ha!

    bu hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaha

roger will win 4-5 gs more(at least) and rafa in 2-3 years willl not be able to play tennis!

this man has destroyed his body by winning fed .thats his nemesis. exactly as fed's nemesis is rafa.

  • Federer is unbelieveble! He was beaten fair and square and he can't bring himself to be gracious in defeat!!! Especially after he stole the shine from Rafa's victory by crying his eyes out at the match presentation, Rafa couldn't even enjoy his victory properly!!! This is exactly why I don't like the guy.

  • roger is very arrogant he thinks he's the best after all the good thing rafa saID ABOUT HIM WOW

  • Other players are always made to wait. Use at useless time. Shout. Overaction. ugly muscular tennis

  • Why always shout. overaction

  • always shout. overaction

  • Rafa is amazing!!! Please return to your form soon!! We are all awaiting your successful return! VAMOS!!!!!!!

  • what the heck does fed mean by 'not always the better player wins"

dumbo!!!!!!!! i cn bet RAFA is a million times better than him in the game and in personality!!

  • He said "usually the better player wins" dumbo!

  • @crabulsinaptic

Actually he said "it's not always that the better player that wins, sometimes it's a matter of momentum."

    What a sore loser!

  • @TheSilverQT What are you people talking about? He literally said "usually the better player always wins, you know, the fitter guy, you know, its just a matter of momentum sometimes, maybe I should have never been there you know in the first place", that doesn't sound disrespectfull towards Nadal at all.

  • Nadal rules! he is gr8! so humble! such an attitude rarely seen.he is the guy! vamossss

    RECOVER SOON.....

  • Comment removed

  • @lilacandironpen Like i have said, federer is a terrible sportsman, and a sore loser

  • Learn to understand the context...just before he said that, he talked about blowing leads in the first, and then said he played terrible in the 5th, thus "handing it over to him"...he never said or implied that Rafa didn't play better in the match overall.

  • federer fan

but nadal owned him here, treated the press conference like a real champ should

i think federer was just embarressed by the whole crying thing. wanted to get the fuck outta there

  • owned him ? O M G ...learn tennis you fake federer fan ... Federer was so cloth to winning it !

  • wtf learn english you dumb cunt, its close not cloth. and im talking about the press conference not the match, you fucking retard

  • wanker, twat, pussy, tosser ...

  • good comeback you idiot cunt. that just proves u know im right

  • right about what ?

  • dw u fckn moron

  • dw u fckin moroon ... well you are certainly a native english speaker haha...

Learn tennis my friend, then we'll talk

  • @azpark

    people: nope

    history: maybe

    politics: nope

    lifestyle: nope

You don't even know Switzerland, so shut up

  • Yes I do, bereft of style and certainly no creativity...bunch of bankers and bean counters Scotland has produced some of the greatest minds and inventors the world has ever seen. Heck the enlightenment period began in a city called Edinburgh...This is the capital of Scotland.

  • screw the hell of bitch

  • Federer needs to be modest about his achievements?

he has the most number of GS titles, most consecutive semifinals and finals run, and the most dominant years as no1 the world has ever seen.

federer can pretty much just tell the world "I'm the best there is" and there would be nothing that anyone can say against him

obviously he didnt, but theres no need for him to say its not much when he has won more than anyone else. being humble with federer's records is as good as telling a lie

  • rafa actually felt sorry for winning the open after roger cried like a baby.

  • check what he has to say about Murray for the Finals this Sunday 2010 Aussie open ... tennis . com / ticker

    No CLASS AT ALLLLL!!!!!!!

  • I've just seen it... well, I agree with u... sorry to say, but yeah, no class..

  • Federer needs to go learn how to talk and be modest about his achievements. My True Champion Rafa has it all!

  • maybe that's right, for now, roger federer is the greatest tennis player.. but sorry to say, as a person, Rafael Nadal is the complete one... The way he talk in this interview, just showing that he cannot accept defeat.. that's a shame for the number 1 tennis player... he should learn about how to be gracious in defeats from Rafael Nadal..

  • Yes like Rafa always complements the other players for beating him and never says "I play very bad, very bad, and i only lose because of that"... very gracious

  • well, not a shame but a sad thing, with all my heart I hope that Rafa's knee will get better and Rafa will spend a great season!!

  • shame that rafa had to retire against murrey in this 2010 australian Open.

rafa is a champion who can produce amazoing tennis!!!!

im with him all the way.

    hope his knee gets betta!!!!

    VAMOS RAFA!

  • VAMOS RAFA!!!!!!!!!

  • lol Rafael Nadal accent is so funny

  • i wouldn't go that far saying Federer is a prick when he loses man Pete Sampras was way worse then Federer when he lost

  • "the last... all my life"

  • I am guilty of being a fan of Rafa, but I have respect for Federer as well, but I do believe that he was a jerk in that interview in some ways...

  • I love Federer´s game, and no doubt he´s probably the best of all times, but he is a complete prick whenever he looses a match

  • "in the 5th not usually the better player wins"

    wow !

Rafa = gracious ....in victory & defeat

Roger = only gracious ....in victory

  • federer says "you know" FIFTEEN times in his one minute and twenty second interview. haha

  • why wen rafas won is he bangin on about fed so much he just beat the guy played awesome tennis n hes there feelin sorry for him u neva get his from fed wen he wins and nor shud u i think theres too much respect there!

  • "you know, you know, you know"

  • Tool. Don't mock the bloke because English isnt his first language

  • Comment removed

  • "Not usually the better player always wins in the 5th set", this means @ the 07 wimbledon final roger was also not the better player in the 5th.

What a twathead, he just pretends that he respects rafa, but really he can't stand him cause he wants a winning record against him as well.

Rafa should not apologise for kicking Roger's *ss again cause the tour will be more boring without rafa.

  • @jonatev00 how about some respect for Rafa? Unbelievable.

  • Before jonatev00 is critical of someone's English, they should learn proper grammer and how to spell. If you live in a glass house, you shouldn't throw stones. You are the ignorant one..

  • federer rly loves himself..

    GO NADAL!

  • Federer imo is the greatest tennis player out there. No disrespect to Nadal, I think he's a great player, but the way he plays the game will take a toll on his body young.

Nadal is so incredibly humble and considerate i find it hard to believe anyone doesn't like him. He won the match, and he wasn't an asshole about Federer's crying, which he could have been, and I doubt many would blame him. Both are a credit to the game.

  • Well said about Rafa's respect.

I was surprised he wasn't voted for (by other players) the best sportsman award in tennis (which Roger won for like 5/6th time in a row) but they probably never will because, although he is gracious like you say, he, in the opinions of the other players, is a huge time waster on court.

Roger lost this match for poor serving - why he served poor you can debate - but not the fact that's why he lost here.

    Peace.

  • @ilargitxo2 its not normal for a tennis player who was beaten in the final of a Grand Slam to cry... especially if they would have won 13 GSs and 7 more than their opponent. it's inexcuable, he completely ruined nadal's moment, if you saw nadal during his speech, he was hardly smiling and wasnt as happy as he should have been all because roger could not keep his emotions in check.

  • He says that it doesn´t necessarily has to be the better player who wins the 5th set, more about momentum.. By the way, to always give ur opponent cred. when u lose is starting to get pathetic actually. Sometimes u dont play well and thats it and he actually says that he (Nadal) is one of the toughest guys in the 5th set. Arrogant? No. Disrespectful? no Emotional? Hell yeah! And sad about his performance at the end of the match. Federer forever!!!

  • great respect for Roger, but Rafa is #1 in my book.

  • Yes, thanks kdbq126, I entirely agree with you. It must be tough & surely he didn't intend to bring down Rafas moment. That being said, I still think Roger should show more joy about whoever beats him in future.

  • I love both of them, but this was Rafas moment & Fed brought it down by making it about being sorry for himself because he lost. For the sake of sportsmanship, everyones enjoyment of the event & his own enduring legacy Roger needs to show more joy about whoever beats him in future.

  • Fed wasn't trying to bring the moment down, it's just tough to hold your emotions in check so soon after a 4.5 hour match.

Don't get me wrong, I love both players. :)

  • rafa was on some good roids!!!

  • Roger Federer= not always the best player wins? Did I hear him right??? what an ass!!!

  • Rafa is so sweet and oh so gorgeous. Love that accent...no?

He is always my number 1, forever. BTW Roger, today Nadal was the better player~

  • What a pathetic attitude by federer...looks like his achievements have gone to his head. Nadal, this time the US open is yous!! Good luck!

  • ah ok, shirgen6 note it already. you are right, this is really respectless and honorable. wow roger u are a really poor loser! vamos rafa, win the us open 09!
