Yes, defensive riding is what it is all about. Almost always speed, poor judgment, or not observing carefully are involved in motorcycle accidents. I once dropped a bike when I put my foot down STOPPED on the road where there was sand. My foot slid out and I followed and so did my bike. I also had a guy back up to make room for someone crossing the street. Again I was stopped, but he almost hit me. I could have avoided both of these incidents had I been paying attention more.

honestly idk how people ride without anything covering their eyes though. my eyes tear up instantly without my helmet
